The episode starts with Mangal asking Kusum why she has allowed Sowmya to be part of her wedding since she was the one who threw Sowmya out of the house. Kusum asks Mangal why she is worried if Sowmya becomes part of the wedding. Kusum reminds Mangal that Sowmya is a colleague of Adit and says if Sowmya doesn’t attend Adit’s wedding, people will gossip about it. Kusum says she allowed Sowmya to attend the wedding only for this reason. Kusum then asks Mangal if she trusts her. Mangal replies that she not only trusts Kusum, but for her, Kusum is like a god. Kusum says to Mangal that she is her strength.
Later, Akshat announces to the family that Mangal and Adit are going to play a game. He says Mangal has to find her name in Adit’s mehndi, and vice versa. Shanti, noticing Sowmya, says she knows Sowmya will be bored watching the game, so she invites her to come along to be entertained.
Shanti takes Sowmya to the kitchen and asks her to pound the flour. Sowmya says she doesn’t know how to do it, but Shanti reassures her and offers to teach her. Sowmya agrees and follows Shanti’s instructions to pound the wheat flour.
Meanwhile, Mangal finds her name in Adit’s mehndi, and Akshat declares her the winner of the game. Kusum then asks Adit to focus and find his name in Mangal’s mehndi. Adit agrees and successfully finds his name.
After pounding the flour, Sowmya gives it to Shanti, who then asks her to boil some potatoes. Sowmya agrees, but while boiling the potatoes on the stove, she accidentally burns her hand and drops the potatoes along with the hot water. Adit, noticing this, tells Sowmya to be more careful and points out that Mangal comes into the kitchen frequently and might get hurt because of Sowmya’s actions. Mangal overhears this conversation. Adit, aware that Mangal is listening, says this intentionally. Mangal tells Sowmya to leave it and says she will ask someone else to clean up the mess. Sowmya agrees and leaves.
Adit and Sowmya exchange messages. Meanwhile, Kusum announces that Adit will be staying at Gayatri’s house for the night. Adit asks why this is necessary. Kusum explains that, according to tradition, the bride and groom should not see each other after the mehndi ceremony. She says all the men in the house will go to Gayatri’s house and return the next day for the wedding. Akshat agrees.
Sowmya says she will also leave, but Kusum asks her to stay back, and Shanti insists that Sowmya should stay to help her. Sowmya agrees.
While returning to Gayatri’s house in the car, Lakshmi notices that her phone is missing. She asks Karthik to drive back as she thinks she forgot her phone. However, Lakshmi soon finds the phone in her purse. As they drive back, Lakshmi notices someone peeking into Adit’s house. She asks who he is, and the man replies that he is a saree seller. He explains that he saw the house and thought there might be a function, so he came to sell sarees. The man shows his collection to Lakshmi, and she notices that he has a saree exactly like the one Adit gifted to Mangal. The man says the saree costs only Rs 300. Hearing this, Lakshmi suspects that Adit bought the saree from this man and lied about purchasing it from Chandni Chowk.
Meanwhile, Kusum places the bridal dress in front of God and hopes that nothing will go wrong at the wedding. Sowmya sees the bridal dress.
