The episode begins with Sowmya thinking about how she must stop Mangal from discovering the truth. Sowmya calls Adit, who immediately responds, saying he is coming there right away.
Sowmya tells Adit that since she returned home from the doctor, no one has opened the door. She also mentions that she feels Mangal has taken Kusum outside. Adit asks her to calm down. They both enter the house.
Adit calls out for Mangal and Kusum. Mangal asks why Adit is shouting and explains that Kusum is asleep. Adit questions why Mangal didn’t open the door when Sowmya had been ringing the bell for so long. Mangal replies that she didn’t hear the bell, though she checks and sees it is indeed ringing. She asks Sowmya if she really rang the bell. Sowmya responds sharply, and Adit comments on Sowmya scaring him. Sowmya defends herself, saying she was just worried about Kusum. Mangal makes a remark, and Adit tells them to stop arguing, before leaving.
Mangal is seen cooking in the kitchen while Sowmya sneaks through Mangal’s purse and finds a clinic bill. She grows concerned about Mangal finding out the truth.
Mangal hears the doorbell ringing. Sowmya hides under the table as Mangal collects medicine from the delivery boy. Upon seeing the medicine, Sowmya realizes it’s the kind that will affect Kusum. She takes the medicine from Mangal and questions her about it. Mangal denies knowing the medicine belongs to her. Sowmya comments on Mangal’s actions, and Mangal leaves the room.
Mangal brings tea for Kusum, but Sowmya stops her and insists on serving Kusum herself. Adit also agrees with Sowmya. Kusum arrives and questions the situation, asking Mangal to give her the tea. Kusum and Mangal then sit together and chat happily, a sight that Sowmya cannot bear. Feeling frustrated, Sowmya plans to give Kusum the medicine.
Sowmya then causes Akshat to trip and fall onto the biscuits, apologizing to Kusum for the mess. Sowmya offers to bring more biscuits, but Mangal insists on doing so herself. In her mind, Sowmya thinks she’s one step ahead of Mangal.
Mangal later receives a call from the temple priest, asking her to perform a Pooja for Kusum’s well-being. Mangal agrees and informs Adit that she’s leaving, asking him to take care of Kusum. Sowmya sees this as her opportunity to carry out her plan while Mangal is away. She convinces Kusum and others to spend time on the terrace.
At the temple, Mangal is asked by the priest if she is fasting for the ritual. She agrees, and the priest instructs her on the procedure. Mangal follows the ritual on her knees, praying for Kusum’s recovery. Meanwhile, Kusum’s health worsens, and the family grows increasingly worried. Mangal prepares to light a diya, but it extinguishes, leaving her worried about this inauspicious sign.
Meanwhile, Jia, who has just left the hospital, tells her mother on the phone that Gayatri is dead, and she saw her body. Lakshmi and Raghuveer, feeling relieved, assume that Gayatri must have reached on time. However, when they see Jia returning with ghee, they follow her. Jia throws the ghee on Gayatri’s body, trying to burn her. Lakshmi, enraged, charges inside and threatens Jia. Jia runs away, scared. Gayatri, now alive, scolds Lakshmi for lighting the matchstick. Raghuveer suggests they should praise Lakshmi for saving Gayatri, but Lakshmi stops their argument.
Inmates at the facility comment on Lakshmi, and Karthik steps in to defend her, beating them up. Lakshmi warns Raghuveer and Gayatri to stay cautious of Jia, as she’s capable of anything. Lakshmi then receives a call from the police station, where she learns that Karthik has been injured. At the station, the inspector explains that Karthik beat up his fellow inmates. Lakshmi comforts Karthik, tending to his wounds. They share an emotional moment.
Afterward, Lakshmi tells Raghuveer that she can’t stand seeing Karthik in this condition. Raghuveer reassures her that everything will be fine once Jia confesses. He also asks if Lakshmi managed to get Karthik to speak with Gayatri. Lakshmi admits that she forgot. Raghuveer warns her to be ready for Gayatri’s wrath.
Umesh calls Lakshmi, informing her that Jia is coming to meet them. Lakshmi hurries home, where Nidhi asks Umesh about the whereabouts of Gayatri and Sanjana. Lakshmi explains that Sanjana has gone to Rishikesh, which Nidhi comments on. Jia arrives but struggles to tell the truth about Gayatri’s death. Lakshmi notices Raghuveer signaling that he used gas to prevent Jia from speaking. Umesh then orders Jia to stop acting and makes guards escort her out of the house.
