The episode starts with customers questioning Mangal about why she prepared food with a lizard in it. They warn her that if anything happens to any of them, they will throw her out of the city. Neel enjoys watching Mangal being insulted. Mangal says she will find out what happened but insists that she prepared the food hygienically, just like homemade food. The customers refuse to trust her, shut down the dhaba, and throw Mangal and her family out. They lock it and declare that it will reopen only after inspection by the Food Safety Officer. Shanti sadly says that their dhaba has been closed on Diwali and questions how they will now run the house.
Adit, on a call, asks his boss why there is a meeting on Diwali. His boss informs him that the meeting is in Mussoorie and that he must attend it. Adit thinks about how his kids and Mangal are staying there.
Meanwhile, Mangal cleans the kitchen. Ishana asks her not to feel guilty. Mangal says she took all safety measures and it’s difficult for a lizard to enter since she kept potlis around to keep them away. Akshat gives Mangal some water and asks her not to worry. Ishana says that Mangal always solves problems, so she trusts she’ll handle this one too. She asks if their dhaba will remain closed.
Adit decides to attend the meeting. Sowmya asks why he’s packing his luggage. Adit says he has an office meeting. Kusum comes there, learns that he’s leaving, and asks where he’s going. Adit replies, “Mussoorie.”
Mangal tells her family to pray in the kitchen so they might find a solution. As they pray, Mangal feels that someone is spying on her. A worker is shown taking a masked person away from the dhaba. Mangal steps on a keychain and picks it up. Akshat says it belongs to Neel. Ishana says Neel studies in her school and is a troublemaker. Mangal says she’ll handle the issue and sends the kids out of the kitchen.
Sowmya tells Adit that since the kids are in Mussoorie, he should take sweets for them. She asks Kusum to prepare them, and Kusum agrees.
Meanwhile, a worker warns Sunita not to go there or their secret will be exposed. Sunita cries, saying she made a mistake 16 years ago and lost her daughter. Neel comes home and throws things in anger. Sunita asks what happened. Neel says he wants his key, misbehaves with her, and leaves. Sunita regrets swapping her daughter with Mangal’s son 16 years ago and says she is now paying for that mistake.
Mangal goes to Neel’s house and confronts him, asking why he put a lizard in the dhaba’s food and endangered people’s lives just to take revenge. She says he’s just a kid and shouldn’t have such ideas. Neel denies the accusation and tells her to leave, saying she has no proof. Ishana scolds him for talking disrespectfully to her mother. Shanti says she asked Neel’s friends about the key, and they confirmed it’s his. She accuses Neel of putting the lizard in the food to get their dhaba closed. Everyone watches as Shanti presents the key as evidence. One person confirms that it indeed belongs to Neel. Ishana angrily asks why he spoiled their food. Neel keeps denying it. Shanti raises her hand to slap him, but Mangal stops her.
Mangal tells Shanti not to hit him, saying Neel acted out of immaturity. She tells Neel that if anyone had died because of the food, he would have regretted it for life. Neel arrogantly tells her to give her lectures to her own kids. Shanti taunts him, saying his mother didn’t teach him manners, which is why he’s so rude. Neel warns her not to speak about his mother and orders Mangal and her family to leave. As he storms off, he slips, but Mangal catches him to stop him from falling. Despite that, Neel pushes her away.
