The episode starts with Kusum coming to Mangal and saying she hopes no one’s evil eye will fall on her. Kusum tells Mangal that she wanted the best girl for her son, and even if she had to choose again, she would choose Mangal a hundred times. Mangal replies that she was really scared when she first came into this house, but Kusum gave her courage and helped her every step of the way. Mangal praises Kusum. Just then, Kusum and Mangal hear the sound of the band and realize that Adit has arrived. Kusum asks Mangal why she hasn’t put jasmine flowers in her hair. Mangal says the decorators are bringing the jasmine flowers. Kusum agrees and leaves.
Adit enters the house. Lakshmi goes to see Mangal. Shanti asks Kusum to be Mangal’s mother for the day, as Kusum gave Mangal the position of a daughter in their house. Kusum performs Aarti for Adit and welcomes him. Adit sees Sowmya, all dressed up, and thinks she is up to something. Sowmya pretends to be setting the decorations and falls in front of everyone. She then gets up, complaining about leg pain, and says she needs to see a doctor, then leaves. Sowmya thinks everything is going according to plan.
Sowmya knocks over a vase, distracting the lady who is carrying jasmine flowers to Mangal. The lady picks up the broken pieces of the vase. Meanwhile, Sowmya uses the opportunity to spray knockout spray on the jasmine flowers.
The lady later gives the jasmine flowers to Mangal, who begins to get ready as a bride. Sowmya also prepares herself as a bride. Mangal smells the jasmine flowers and thinks they smell really good. Sowmya knows that Mangal will soon lose consciousness after inhaling the flowers.
Lipika approaches Mangal and compliments her on how beautiful she looks. Lipika and Mangal head to the mandap. A lady informs Mangal that Kusum is asking for the Mangalsutra, which is in Mangal’s room drawer. Mangal offers to get it herself, but Lipika insists she stays and says she will get it. Lipika and the lady leave.
Mangal starts feeling dizzy and loses consciousness. Sowmya catches her and quickly hides Mangal in some clothes. She then covers her own face with the bride’s veil. Akshat approaches and asks “Mangal” to show her face, saying he wants to see how she looks as a bride. Lipika steps in and tells Akshat that no one can see the bride’s face right now and asks him to wait. Akshat agrees. Lipika takes Sowmya to the mandap, thinking she is Mangal.
Sowmya sits in the mandap as the bride. Adit sees Sowmya’s reflection in the water and wonders how she could be there, while Mangal is missing. Kusum notices that “Mangal” isn’t wearing the ancestral jewelry and asks Adit to put it around her neck. She then asks Lakshmi to remove the bride’s veil. Lakshmi agrees. Adit interrupts, saying that “Mangal” is unwell because her hands and feet are cold. He insists they stop the rituals. Adit then carries Sowmya in his arms and takes her to a room, closing the door behind them.
Adit confronts Sowmya, asking what she is trying to do. Sowmya counters, asking what is wrong with him since he agreed to marry Mangal. Adit explains that he is in this situation because of her stubbornness. He reminds her how she made him spend 24 hours with her on her birthday, which led to the flight accident and Kusum seeing them together. Adit says he’s only doing this because Kusum gave him a chance to mend his relationship with Mangal and nothing more. Sowmya asks why he didn’t tell her this when it all happened.
Outside, Kusum and the others knock on the door, asking Adit to open it, but he doesn’t. Kusum asks Lakshmi to call the manager to unlock the door. The manager arrives and opens it.

Precap: Mangal asks Adit if he needs anything. Adit grabs Mangal’s bangles and injures her. Lakshmi scolds Adit, asking how he could treat Mangal so rudely.
