The episode starts with Kapil telling Ishana that she spoke the truth and the real culprit has been arrested. He asks her to promise that she will never lie again. Ishana agrees. Kapil then praises Mangal, saying she was brought up well. He says, “You could’ve hidden Ishana’s mistake, but instead, you brought her to me and told the truth.”
Mangal replies, “It’s my responsibility as a mother. If my daughter made a mistake, then it’s my mistake too. Whatever I did, I did to correct that.” She asks them to sit and goes to get water.
Kusum goes to Mangal and says, “You broke off your engagement with Kapil because of a misunderstanding. Kapil is a good man. Please reconsider your decision.” Mangal responds that she doesn’t want Ishana to suffer. Kusum says, “It was Ishana who wronged Kapil. He had every reason to walk away, but he didn’t. He wasn’t even angry. Only lucky people get a partner like him. Don’t lose him.”
Ishana, who overhears the conversation, walks in and tells Mangal, “Kapil is a really good man. I misunderstood him.”
Later, Ishana tells Kapil to put the ring back on Mangal’s finger, saying, “I want to correct this mistake too.” Akshat also requests Kapil to put the ring on and become a part of their family.
Sowmya thinks to herself, I don’t mind this drama if it means Mangal will leave our lives.
Pratima tells everyone, “The kids are right. I’ve always felt Mangal is part of this family. That’s why I still kept her engagement ring, hoping that somehow, she and Kapil would reunite.”
Pratima hands the ring to Kapil and asks Mangal for her decision. Kapil says, “This decision is entirely yours. Tell me if it’s a yes or no.”
Akshat, Ishana, and Shanti all request Mangal to agree. Pratima says they can soon fix a wedding date. Kapil also removes his ring. Shanti asks him to put it on Mangal’s finger. Kapil does, and everyone claps. Mangal smiles while Adit looks disappointed. Mangal then puts the ring on Kapil’s finger — they are engaged again.
Sowmya thinks, Finally, Mangal will be out of my life. Shanti thanks God for bringing everything back to normal. Shanti, Pratima, and Kusum congratulate each other happily.
Later, Pratima meets Kapil and Mangal at the office. She tells Kapil that his boss, Mr. Varma, has come to Delhi. Mangal says she knows Varma is the one who gave Kapil his big opportunity. Kapil adds, “Varma Sir always said — I don’t like girls easily, but if I do, she’ll be one in a million. And now it’s true.”
Pratima says she wants to invite Varma and Kapil’s friends for dinner so they can meet Mangal before the wedding. Mangal is hesitant, but Pratima insists that she must come. Mangal agrees. Kapil reminds her to be on time since Varma sir is very punctual. Mangal agrees.
At home, Mangal asks Akshat to drink milk. She says, “I’m not even ready yet, and I don’t know how I’ll make it to dinner by 8.” Akshat disturbs Sowmya by playing a loud game. Sowmya thinks, Mangal is off to enjoy a party and leaving the kids here. She adds medicine to Akshat’s milk and gives it to him.
As Mangal is about to leave, she sees Akshat crying and holding his stomach. Kusum reminds her, “You have to go meet Kapil’s guests, right?” But Akshat pleads, “Don’t leave me, Mom.” Mangal notices he has a fever too and takes him inside.
Meanwhile, Pratima and Kapil welcome Varma and his friends, who are eager to meet Mangal. Mangal calls Kapil and informs him that Akshat is unwell, so she won’t be able to come. Kapil assures her, “I’ll manage things here. You take care of Akshat.” Mangal thanks him.
Pratima comes and urges Kapil to call Mangal again and ask her to come. Kapil explains that Akshat is unwell, so Mangal can’t come. Pratima gets upset and asks, “Why can’t Mangal understand us?” Varma asks about Kapil’s would-be wife. Kapil diverts and joins the guests. Pratima, however, is determined: I won’t let Kapil face this embarrassment again. Mangal must come.
Just then, at home, Mangal sees that Akshat’s fever has gone down. She turns and finds Pratima at the door. She asks, “You’re here?”
