The episode starts with Shanti asking Mangal to file a complaint against Neel at the police station. Mangal says Neel is just a kid and lets him go. She adds that his mother will feel bad if she learns about his act. Mangal says she just wanted to find out who added the lizard in the food, and now that the culprit is found, she wants their dhaba to reopen soon.
Mangal places clothes for drying. At that moment, she receives a call that makes her very happy. She thanks Maata Rani after talking. Later, Mangal, Shanti, and the kids enter the dhaba. Mangal tells them that they can now reopen the dhaba as the complaints have been taken back. She expresses her happiness. Shanti says now they can celebrate Diwali peacefully. Mangal says this Diwali will be the best. Akshat asks what she has planned for them. Mangal asks them to guess.
Mangal makes her kids distribute gifts to orphan children. Shanti tells Mangal that she did a good job. Mangal says she invited the orphans so they could celebrate with them and bought gifts for them, adding that they should prepare food together. Shanti agrees, and they leave.
Adit calls Ishana and wishes her a Happy Diwali. Ishana thanks him. Akshat takes the phone and learns that Adit is coming to Mussoorie to celebrate Diwali with them. Excited, Akshat ends the call. Ishana asks Akshat not to tell their mom yet, as she just started feeling relaxed after getting the dhaba back. Akshat agrees.
Neel thinks he won’t leave Mangal and her family alone. Sunita comes there, and Neel’s ball hits the diya plate, making the diyas fall. Neel and his mother argue. He asks his mother to clean the mess and then leave.
Akshat and Ishana get ready. Mangal calls the kids to join her for aarti. Akshat asks Ishana how to stop their mom from doing aarti until their dad arrives. They make some excuses so Adit can come within those five minutes. Shanti tells Mangal that she will greet her friends on the phone and come. While greeting Rekha, Shanti sees a bucket filled with dirty water.
Mangal calls the kids for aarti, but they don’t come. Shanti pours the dirty water, and from behind, Mangal comes and holds the bucket — the dirty water accidentally falls on Adit. He assumes Mangal threw it on him and angrily calls her an idiot. Shanti says she threw the water, not her daughter, and questions why he came there. Akshat and Ishana come happily. Akshat says they were waiting for him excitedly. Mangal realizes the kids hid Adit’s arrival from her. Akshat says it was a surprise. Mangal asks Adit to go inside and change his clothes.
Neel’s friends tease him. Irritated, Neel decides to create trouble for Mangal. Adit changes his clothes. Ishana gives him water. Mangal serves coffee and food. Adit asks Ishana where Akshat is, saying he knows their mother might not have given them gifts, but he brought some. Ishana says no — their mother gifted her a brand-new phone and got her admission into an international dance school. Adit wonders how Mangal could afford such an expensive phone.
Adit gives Kusum’s homemade laddoos to Ishana. He says Akshat wanted to meet him, but now he isn’t home, so he’ll go find him. Adit asks Akshat why he’s gardening and if Mangal made him do it to save money. Akshat says he likes gardening. Mangal smiles seeing them. Adit tells Mangal she’s making his kids “gawar” (unrefined) like her. Mangal replies that she wants her kids to grow independently. Akshat says these are organic tomatoes. Shanti rebukes Adit. Mangal asks Akshat to come for the aarti.
Meanwhile, Sowmya feels pain while arranging the mandir and sits down. Kusum asks her not to do such work as she’s pregnant. Sowmya asks if Adit called to say he reached safely and gave the kids the gifts and sweets. Kusum shakes her head no. Sowmya says she’ll call him.
Mangal performs aarti to Goddess Lakshmi and then gifts Ishana, Akshat, and Shanti. Shanti blesses Mangal and says she hopes God protects her from evil eyes, especially after seeing Adit. Adit receives Sowmya’s call and thinks, “Don’t know what will happen if Mangal and the kids learn about Sowmya’s pregnancy.”
