The episode starts with Akshat asking Mangal to promise that she will come the next day. Mangal promises him. Adit calls Akshat inside. Meanwhile, Sowmya is also coming out. Mangal gets a call from Kapil and answers it.
Adit wonders why Mangal hasn’t left yet and thinks, “If Sowmya sees her, she’ll kill me.” Just then, Akshat opens the door, causing Sowmya to fall.
Mangal tells Kapil that she’ll come by herself and there’s no need to send a vehicle. She cuts the call and asks Adit if he has agreed to work with Kapil. Adit says he doesn’t have a choice. Mangal replies that it’s a good decision. She then asks about Ishana and requests to meet her. Adit tells her that Ishana is fine, has gone on a school trip, and she can meet her next time.
Akshat apologizes to Sowmya. She scolds him to watch where he’s going. He nods and goes inside. Sowmya wonders, “Where is this Adit?”
Adit asks Mangal if she wants to say anything else. Mangal informs him about a meeting at 10 a.m. the next day and tells him to come on time. Adit agrees and goes inside, closing the door.
Sowmya asks Adit why he looks so tense and whether he failed to get an investor. Adit replies that he did get one and is joining the company from the next day. He adds that he agreed to all the terms and will also share household expenses. When Sowmya asks who his boss is, Adit lies to hide the truth.
Meanwhile, Kapil asks Pratima what she is doing. She tells him she’s preparing a guest list for the pooja. Kapil says he can’t help with the arrangements. Pratima mentions that Mangal helped her and asks why she hasn’t come home. Kapil says Mangal will come. Pratima then asks him for 5 lakhs. Kapil questions the need, and Pratima says she wants to make gold bangles (kangan) for Mangal to gift her when she agrees to become his wife. Kapil tells her not to think about it.
When Pratima questions him, Kapil, not wanting to break her heart by revealing the truth about Mangal, tells her not to pressure Mangal with a proposal. He explains that it could affect his relationship with her and asks Pratima to promise not to bring it up until he says the time is right. Pratima makes him promise to tell her when the time is right. Kapil agrees and leaves. Pratima then decides to buy the bangles for Mangal with Kusum’s help.
Kusum feels emotional seeing Akshat. Akshat is about to tell her about Mangal, but Adit stops him upon seeing Sowmya nearby. He takes Akshat away and tells him not to mention Mangal to Kusum since she’s still upset.
Later, Akshat talks to Mangal on a video call. Adit tells him to end the call and give him the phone as he’s getting late. Mangal agrees. Just then, Sowmya enters and asks why Akshat is using Adit’s phone. Adit lies, saying Akshat is playing a game, and takes the phone.
Later, as Adit is about to leave for work, Sowmya gets into the car and tells Adit to take a cab instead. Adit thinks he’ll be late for the meeting. He tries to book a cab but fails. Mangal stops her car and offers him a lift, but he declines. Mangal leaves.
Adit arrives at the office at 10:10 a.m., but his entry card doesn’t work due to the 10-minute delay. He fails to enter the office. The receptionist informs him that Mangal is strict about punctuality and warns him not to repeat it. Adit pleads with Mangal for a chance since it’s his first day, but Mangal rebukes him and leaves with Kapil for a meeting.
