The episode begins with Mangal arriving at Kapil’s dinner party. Kapil feels elated upon seeing her and introduces her to his mentor, Mr. Varma, and his friends. Meanwhile, Pratima thinks to herself that she did the right thing by calling Shanti. Shanti approaches Mangal and scolds her for not giving Kapil enough importance. She advises Mangal to balance both her personal and professional lives, and sends her to attend the party.
Mangal calls Kapil aside, intending to talk to him about Akshat. Just as she is about to speak, Pratima deliberately drops a bowl of fruit cream, causing it to shatter. Mangal quickly asks Pratima if she’s alright. Pratima responds that she’s fine but expresses disappointment that the dessert she wanted to serve the guests is now ruined. She suggests they’ll have to order it from outside. Mangal offers to prepare the dessert herself and goes to the kitchen. Pratima smirks, pleased that her plan to keep Mangal occupied is working.
Later, Kapil’s friends comment on the sweet aroma coming from the kitchen. Mangal brings out the dishes and informs Pratima that she has made both kheer and halwa. Pratima praises her cooking. When Mangal says she wants to go home, Pratima convinces her to stay for dinner, reminding her how happy Kapil is to see her. She then asks Mrs. Varma to engage Mangal in conversation and quietly leaves.
Meanwhile, Akshat wakes up and reaches for a glass of water but is frightened by a shadowy figure—it’s Sowmya. He drops the glass and slips, hitting his head on the floor. Sowmya silently walks away. Akshat cries out for Mangal. Adit rushes to his aid, and Akshat insists he wants Mangal. Adit tries to call her, but Pratima cuts the call and hides her phone. Concerned about Akshat’s rising temperature, Adit decides to ask Kusum to help take care of Akshat and heads out to call Mangal again.
Back at the party, Mr. Varma tastes the sweets and praises Mangal, saying her cooking is excellent and calling Kapil lucky to have her. Mangal and Kapil share a light-hearted moment. Just then, Adit arrives and sees them enjoying themselves. Pratima notices Adit and instructs the guards not to let him enter. Mangal suddenly feels a headache, and Pratima asks her to sit down and relax. The guards escort Adit away. Mangal, noticing dinner is over, decides it’s time to leave. She plans to call Kusum to check on Akshat but finds her phone has no charge. Pratima, thinking fast, offers Mangal a headache pill. Mangal takes it and tells her she needs to go home to care for Akshat. However, she soon begins to feel dizzy. Pratima urges her to rest on the sofa. Mangal notices her phone is dead. Meanwhile, Pratima thinks to herself that she has tolerated a lot, but she cannot let her son lose Mangal to Kapil. She resolves to make Mangal stay the night to prove that her priority should be Kapil.
Back at home, Adit recalls how the guards insulted him. He sees Akshat repeatedly taking Mangal’s name. Kusum asks if Mangal didn’t come, and Adit silently nods. He decides to take Akshat to the doctor, but Akshat refuses to go without Mangal. Adit calls the hospital and requests a home visit from a doctor, but the receptionist informs him that it’s not possible today. Adit grows increasingly worried as Akshat’s fever refuses to come down. Meanwhile, Mangal lies on the bed at the party, feeling drowsy and dizzy.
