The episode starts with Shanti asking Kusum to listen to the truth. Kusum asks Shanti what the truth is. Mangal tells Shanti not to interfere between her and Kusum. She assures Kusum that she will reveal the truth herself. As Mangal tries to speak, a glass vase falls and a shard injures her arm. Seeing this, Shanti comments that nothing good will happen to Mangal as long as Kusum is around. Mangal asks Shanti to stop and tries again to speak, but Kusum interrupts and warns her that it would be better if she remained silent. Kusum then tells Pratima she’s leaving and walks away.
Mangal lashes out at Shanti for interfering and says she doesn’t understand Kusum’s importance in her life. She explains that Kusum has always stood by her no matter what. Mangal adds that she may distance herself from Adit’s family, but she cannot break her ties with them completely.
Meanwhile, Sowmya wonders how Pratima could fix Kapil’s marriage with someone else when she likes Mangal for him. Sowmya calls Pratima, and Mangal hands her the phone.
Shanti helps Mangal apply medicine to her wound. Pratima attends the call. Sowmya asks why she wasn’t informed that Kapil’s marriage had been fixed and mentions hearing about a pooja for the wedding. Pratima confirms the wedding and reveals that the bride is Mangal. Excited, Sowmya ends the call.
Sowmya thinks that Mangal might try to reveal the truth to Kusum and Adit, so she must stop her. She decides it’s better if Kusum and Adit find out about the wedding on their own.
Later, Kusum is seen cooking and drops something. As she picks it up, she sees a hand and assumes it’s Mangal’s. She says she doesn’t need help, but Adit reveals it’s him. He asks Kusum why she’s doing all this and says he’ll call Mangal, but Kusum stops him.
Kusum complains to Adit about Mangal keeping Shanti at Kapil’s house without their knowledge. Adit replies that he’s aware and says it’s not a big issue anymore since they no longer share a relationship with Mangal. He reminds her that Kapil is not just Mangal’s business partner but also her close friend.
Mangal walks into the kitchen and asks what’s going on. Adit asks her to make food only for Sudesh and says he’ll take the kids out to eat. He leaves. Mangal tries to talk to Kusum, but Kusum says she doesn’t want to speak and walks away.
Mangal prepares coffee and goes to Kusum’s room. She finds Kusum sitting silently in the dark. Mangal says she wanted to tell her that her marriage with Kapil has been fixed. She explains that Shanti forced her to promise to marry Kapil. Seeing Kusum remain silent, Mangal asks if she doesn’t even want to see her face. She adds that if Kusum applies sindoor on her tomorrow, she will take it as Kusum’s blessing. Mangal leaves.
It is then revealed that it wasn’t Kusum in the room — it was Sowmya in disguise. Sowmya removes the disguise and thinks now Mangal believes she told the truth to Kusum. She plans to make Kusum and Adit find out the truth on their own.
Later, Mangal sees Kusum and asks why she changed clothes so quickly. Kusum says she had to change for the Jagrata. Sowmya sees them and becomes worried that Mangal will again try to tell the truth.

Precap: Pratima calls Kapil and tells him that she has sent a few wedding card designs for him to choose from. Kapil selects one and asks the office peon to give the card to Adit. Adit opens it and sees the wedding invitation.
