The episode begins with Akshat asking Adit if he’s going to stay with them and confirming that he won’t go back to his office flat. Mangal and Adit’s parents leave.
Kusum asks Mangal what she’s doing. Mangal tells Kusum they have no choice but to do this and reminds her how Akshat got out of bed just by seeing Adit. Sudesh, overhearing, tells Kusum that Mangal is right and suggests they let Adit stay there for a few days. Kusum agrees.
Sowmya’s friends ask her where her husband is since he’s not answering her calls. Sowmya says he might be stuck in a meeting. After her friends leave, she feels embarrassed that Adit didn’t come to meet them, so she calls him. Akshat asks Adit again if he’s going to stay there, and Kusum assures him that Adit will stay with them. Adit accidentally answers Sowmya’s call and tells Akshat he’ll stay, promising him. Sowmya, hearing this, gets angry and heads to Adit’s house. Akshat asks Mangal if he can sleep between Mangal and Adit. Mangal asks Ishana to take Akshat and put him to sleep, so Ishana takes him away.
Sudesh tells Adit that he promised Akshat he would stay, but doubts he’ll keep his word. Adit insists he’ll stay. Mangal then asks Adit if he plans to leave Sowmya and stay there. Adit brushes off Mangal’s concerns and tells her not to lecture him. He says he’ll handle Sowmya. Just then, Sowmya arrives and asks if he thinks she’s something to be “handled.” Adit asks her what she’s doing there. Sowmya declares she’s going to stay with him, wherever he is. Kusum tells Adit this is his mess and he should handle it.
Adit tries to dissuade Sowmya from staying, but she insists. Kusum doesn’t agree. Sowmya, upset, is about to take Adit away, but Mangal, thinking about Akshat, allows Sowmya to stay. Kusum questions Mangal’s decision, but Mangal says Akshat’s health is more important right now. Kusum then agrees. Ishana and Akshat overhear, and Ishana disapproves, but Mangal signals her to stay quiet. Adit tells Akshat he’ll be working from home, so Sowmya will stay to help him. Akshat agrees, and Ishana takes him away. Kusum and Mangal warn Adit to ensure Akshat doesn’t learn about his affair with Sowmya, and he agrees. Kusum and Mangal go to prepare a room for Sowmya.
Sowmya, frustrated, tells Adit that even after marriage they still have to hide their relationship. Adit asks her to understand his situation and reminds her Akshat is unwell. Sowmya urges him to tell Akshat the truth, but Adit disagrees, saying Akshat is a child. He leaves, and Sowmya decides to tell Akshat herself.
Later, Mangal is shown sleeping on the bed with Adit and Akshat between them. Adit accidentally puts his hand on Mangal, irritating her. She pushes his hand away and goes to the kitchen.
Mangal reflects on Adit’s betrayal and scrubs her hand vigorously. Kusum asks why she’s scrubbing so hard, and Mangal hugs her, saying she can’t stop thinking about Adit’s betrayal whenever she sees him and Sowmya. Kusum says she feels the same.
Sowmya plans to show Akshat a fake photo of her and Adit. She tries to show it to Akshat with an excuse, but the photo accidentally falls into Mangal’s hands. Mangal stops Sowmya and confronts her about the photo.
