The episode starts with Adit questioning Sowmya about why she didn’t think twice before making Kusum mentally ill. Adit lashes out at Sowmya for trying to make Kusum mentally ill. Mangal tells Adit that Kusum doesn’t stop at anything to get what she wants and comments on her behavior. Adit asks Sowmya to get out of the house. Sowmya snaps out of her trance. Kusum asks Sowmya why it is taking her so long to eat a small laddoo. Kusum urges Sowmya to eat it. Sowmya drops the laddoo. Mangal tells Sowmya that she is looking weak. Mangal says she will feed the laddoo to Sowmya herself. Mangal puts the laddoo in Sowmya’s mouth. Sowmya tries to leave, but Mangal stops her. Akshat tells Sowmya that by the time she eats that laddoo, he could eat 20 laddoos. Akshat tries to eat the laddoo, but Mangal stops him. Sowmya takes this chance to escape. Mangal tells Akshat that she will bring another laddoo for them.
Sowmya goes to her room and thinks that only by vomiting the laddoo will she be able to get rid of the medicine in her body. She forces herself to puke the laddoo.
Mangal later comments to Sowmya that it looked like she vomited the laddoo. Mangal asks Sowmya to eat it again. Sowmya refuses. Mangal asks if she mixed something in the laddoo since she immediately vomited after eating it. Sowmya asks Mangal what she means. Mangal tells Sowmya that she knows Kusum is the one who gave her the wrong medicine, and she questions why Sowmya did this. Sowmya tells Mangal to stop throwing arrows in the dark and says she has no proof. Sowmya claims she is on a no-carbs, no-sugar diet, and when she ate the laddoo, she vomited—it’s as simple as that. Sowmya then leaves.
Adit approaches Sowmya and praises her, saying he never thought she would be able to handle all of this alone. Adit mentions that Kusum’s health is also improving. Sowmya replies that Kusum’s health is improving because she is receiving the right treatment. She tells Adit that she already spoke to the mental asylum, and it has reopened. She suggests that they can admit Kusum to the hospital. Mangal disagrees. Sowmya asks Mangal if she has been eavesdropping on their conversation. Mangal denies it, saying her dress got mixed up with Ishana’s clothes, and she came to return it. Mangal insists that Kusum will not go to the mental asylum because Kusum’s health is improving. Sowmya disagrees, and Adit supports her, saying he will admit Kusum to the hospital for her well-being.
Prema goes to Jia and asks what she is doing. Jia says that this is a ritual to get rid of Gayatri’s soul. Prema urges Jia to finish it quickly so they can go home. Lakshmi arrives and Jia asks why she is there. Lakshmi acts as if she is haunted by Gayatri and scares Jia. Jia puts Gayatri’s ashes into the Havan. Lakshmi tells Jia that she won’t be able to get rid of her that easily. Prema comes up behind Lakshmi and tries to stab her with a knife, but someone abducts Prema from behind. Jia asks Lakshmi what she wants. Lakshmi tells Jia to confess. Jia agrees and asks Lakshmi where Prema is. Lakshmi reveals that Prema is nearby, tied up, with a knife hanging above her that could fall at any moment. Jia begs Lakshmi not to harm Prema and says she will confess.
