The episode starts with several ladies arriving for Sowmya’s godh bharai and congratulating her. Sowmya notices the mirror she had arranged to hurt Mangal. She sees the mirror starting to crack due to the lights she had placed around it. She thinks that Mangal will come any moment to perform the pooja and get hurt.
Mangal comes out of her room to do the pooja but receives a call. Sowmya waits for Mangal to arrive so that her plan can succeed. Meanwhile, Akshat is unable to find his drawing book. He calls Mangal and tells her that he has a drawing exam tomorrow and asks where the book is. Mangal replies that she has left for Pehla Swad work and that she kept the drawing book in the mandir. She adds that she forgot to light the diya there and asks Akshat to do it. Akshat agrees and says he will light the diya and pray to God to help him secure first place in the drawing competition. Mangal smiles.
The ladies ask Kusum to perform the aarti for Sowmya and ward off the evil eye. Kusum and the other ladies complete the ritual. Sowmya wonders why Mangal hasn’t come to light the diya yet. The ladies ask Kusum to dance, but she refuses, saying her feet are not well enough to dance. They then question Adit about why he isn’t wearing good clothes and whether he is happy about Sowmya’s godh bharai. Adit says that he is happy. The ladies ask him what gift he gave to Sowmya and question Sowmya as well, but Sowmya remains focused on her mirror plan. The ladies notice that her attention seems elsewhere.
Akshat video-calls Mangal and asks again about his drawing book. She tells him where it is, but he cannot hear her clearly. Mangal notices that the mirror in the mandir is about to break and tries to warn Akshat, but due to loud music, he cannot hear and disconnects the call. Mangal asks the auto driver to take her back home immediately and prays to God to protect her son.
The ladies ask Sowmya and Adit to dance. Sowmya wonders where Mangal is, thinking that the glass will break any moment and if Mangal doesn’t come, her plan will fail. She tells Kusum that she will go and bring Mangal, but the ladies insist that it’s not needed and ask her to dance with them instead.
Akshat finally finds his drawing book. Suddenly, the sound of cracking glass alerts everyone. They notice the mirror is about to shatter and ask Akshat to move away, but he doesn’t understand. The mirror breaks, and Mangal reaches home just in time to save Akshat. Asit asks if Mangal and Akshat are fine, and they confirm that they are. Sudesh questions who placed the mirror in the mandir. The ladies say that having a mirror during a godh bharai is inauspicious and accuse Sowmya of having ruined Mangal’s life, which is why her godh bharai didn’t go well. Sowmya feels insulted and asks the ladies to leave, but they rebuke her. Kusum requests the ladies to accompany her.
Inside the room, Mangal and Adit learn that Akshat is fine. Adit realises that Mangal had gone for work but returned midway. They ask Mangal to go back to work, assuring her that Adit will take care of Akshat. Mangal agrees. Suddenly, they hear Sowmya shouting. They rush out and see Sowmya breaking things. Sowmya accuses Mangal of being happy after ruining her godh bharai. Mangal asks what she did and says that the person who placed the mirror is responsible for ruining the function. She reminds Sowmya that she made all the arrangements and should stop blaming others. Adit supports Mangal and says he had warned Sowmya earlier about the risky mirror decoration. He adds that Mangal saved Akshat on time after seeing everything on the phone. He tells Sowmya that she should be thankful to Mangal and asks her to go inside while he arranges for the workers to clean the glass pieces. Sowmya silently vows to hurt Mangal in a worse way in the future.
The next day, Mangal notices that glass pieces are still scattered around and starts cleaning them. A bundle containing divorce papers falls near her. Mangal picks it up and wonders whose papers they are. Sowmya recalls how the divorce papers of Mangal and Adit were burnt earlier and how she had kept them there. She panics, thinking that if Mangal checks them, she will find out that she is still Adit’s wife, and decides to stop her. Mangal examines the burnt papers just as Adit arrives and asks her to leave for the doctor’s appointment. He notices the divorce papers between him and Mangal. Kusum asks what happened. Asit reveals that these are their divorce papers and that it seems they were never filed in court. He declares that Mangal and Adit are still legally married.
The episode ends.
Precap: Sowmya asks the Saxena family to leave the house immediately. Sudesh argues that the house belongs to his son. Sowmya shows the papers proving that Adit has transferred the house into her name. The Saxena family is thrown out of the house. Ishana asks Mangal what they should do next. Mangal looks at the storm outside and worries about her family.
