The episode starts with Mangal pleading with Kusum to give Sowmya the recognition of being Adit’s wife. Kusum refuses, saying she regrets allowing Sowmya to stay in the house. She reminds Mangal that when she entered the family, Kusum gave her the honor of being the house’s Lakshmi and Annapurna. Kusum states she will never accept Sowmya as the family’s daughter-in-law and expresses her disappointment in Mangal. Mangal asks Kusum not to speak that way, explaining that she made a deal with Sowmya: if Sowmya takes on the role of daughter-in-law, she would, in return, bring happiness to the children. Sowmya then declares to Kusum that she is now the daughter-in-law of the house, not Mangal, and that she will perform the Lakshmi Pooja for Diwali. Kusum, annoyed, leaves. Adit then asks Sowmya to make him tea for his headache, and she agrees.
Sowmya quickly makes tea and brings it to Adit. He tastes it, spits it out, and complains that it’s extremely bitter before walking away. Ishana mocks Sowmya after witnessing the incident, while Kusum tells Sowmya that she will never replace Mangal in this household. Sowmya, however, insists she won’t give up that easily.
Adit then sees Mangal and asks her to make him a coffee, saying he has a headache. Mangal asks if he wants coffee made by her, to which Adit replies yes, confirming his headache.
A large gift arrives at Karthik’s house, and Gayatri assumes it was sent by one of Karthik’s fans. She asks Lakshmi to check for a note. Lakshmi reads the note but finds no name on it. Gayatri asks her to open the gift, and Lakshmi agrees but is called away to the kitchen. Gayatri is shocked when Jia emerges from the gift box. She quickly takes Jia away.
Meanwhile, Mangal attempts to make coffee for Adit, but the milk curdles when she adds the coffee powder, leaving her puzzled. Kusum arrives and asks what Mangal is doing. Mangal explains that Adit has a bad headache. Observing Mangal struggling to make coffee, Kusum criticizes her. She then goes to Adit and points out that he usually dislikes Mangal’s coffee, so it’s odd that he asked her to make it. Adit explains he asked her casually. Kusum suggests he asked Mangal for coffee after tasting Sowmya’s failed attempt. Adit says he doesn’t want any coffee and leaves. Sowmya overhears this conversation.
Gayatri then questions Jia’s presence. Jia reveals that she saw Karthik and Lakshmi together, feeding each other kulfi, which made her anxious. She reminds Gayatri of her promise to help her win Karthik.
It is then revealed that Gayatri had previously told Jia that Karthik has a curse in his Kundali. She advised Jia to allow Karthik to marry Lakshmi and promised that, at the right time, she would remove Lakshmi from Karthik’s life. Jia agreed to the plan.
Gayatri now tells Jia that she has arrived at the perfect time, as Lakshmi is ruining Karthik’s career. She encourages Jia to do whatever it takes to separate Lakshmi and Karthik, assuring her of her support. Jia agrees.
Karthik later finds Lakshmi outside Gayatri’s room and asks what she’s doing there. Lakshmi replies that she was about to call for Gayatri. When they enter the room, they see Gayatri arranging the bed. Karthik asks what she’s doing, and Gayatri quickly makes up an excuse to divert them away.
Mangal brings Adit his coffee, encouraging him to drink it. Just then, Sowmya knocks the coffee away. Adit is taken aback and asks her what she’s doing. Sowmya questions how he could drink Mangal’s coffee, reminding him that he used to dislike it. Adit explains that he has a headache, which is why he asked Mangal for coffee. Sowmya starts arguing with Mangal for making coffee for Adit. Adit, annoyed, scolds Sowmya and leaves. Sowmya laments that this is the first time Adit has reprimanded her, and it was over a cup of coffee. She then taunts Mangal, telling her to continue with servant work, and declares that she will perform the Lakshmi Pooja.
