The episode starts with Akshat announcing that Kusum will begin the balloon-popping game. Sowmya thinks to herself, “I hope Kusum doesn’t get the balloon I tampered with. If anything happens, Mangal will start investigating to find the culprit.” Kusum pops the balloon and picks a chit that asks her to say a few words about her favorite person. With pride, Kusum speaks about Adit. She says, “Some relationships go beyond blood, but when those relationships break, the pain is even deeper.”
As she speaks, Kusum recalls Sowmya’s words blaming Mangal for Sudesh’s death. Everyone feels that Kusum is referring to Sudesh, especially as Sowmya adjusts the garland on his photo but she means it about Mangal.
The game continues. Next, it’s Mangal’s turn. She pops the balloon with a pin. Akshat reads the chit, which asks her to sing a song for the birthday girl. Mangal agrees and sings. Her song moves everyone. Sowmya, meanwhile, is anxious, wondering where her tampered balloon has gone.
As Mangal sings, Kusum recalls fond memories with her, and the atmosphere becomes emotional. Pratima wonders, “Why is Mangal giving so much importance to her ex-mother-in-law?”
Next is Kapil’s turn. His chit says he has to dance with his favorite person. Pratima hopes he’ll choose Mangal and express his feelings. But Kapil tells Akshat, “You’re my favorite person, but I don’t know how to dance.” Akshat offers to teach him, and they dance together. When it ends, Akshat announces that only one person is left.
Now it’s Sowmya’s turn. Adit encourages her to burst the balloon, but she says she’s afraid of the sound. Mangal, hearing this, offers to burst it for her. She uses a needle to pop the balloon.
Sowmya’s plan backfires — the glass shards hidden in the balloon injure her own hand. Adit notices and questions why there were glass pieces inside. The others begin to suspect Sowmya and surround her.
But suddenly, Sowmya snaps out of her imagination — none of that has happened yet. In reality, she bursts the balloon and picks a chit, still wondering where her tampered balloon went. She steps outside and finds the balloon and glass shards untouched.
Pratima approaches and says, “I know you’re worried about the balloon you planned to use to harm Mangal. I saw you adding the glass pieces and now “I will expose you in front of everyone.” Sowmya tries to stop her.
Meanwhile, Adit tells Kusum, “Sowmya baked this cake. You’ll love it.” Kusum questions the need for it. Just then, Sowmya and Pratima enter. Adit invites them for the cake-cutting. Akshat looks around for Mangal.
Mangal enters the kitchen and smells something strange. She spots eggshells and realizes the cake contains egg. Kusum cuts the cake, and just as Adit is about to feed her, Mangal stops him and says, “This cake has egg in it.” Shocked, Adit asks Sowmya, “Why did you add egg when you know Kusum doesn’t eat it?” Sowmya nervously replies, “I forgot, sorry.” Adit scolds her.
Episode ends.
Precap: Pratima tells Kapil, “Adit doesn’t deserve Mangal. That’s why they’re separated. Make Mangal your life partner.” Mangal, who overhears this, is shocked.
