The episode starts with Mangal unable to sleep as she recalls Bhabhi Ji’s words that she must now think for herself. She remembers that tomorrow is the final round, a big day, and she still has many arrangements to complete. Mangal drinks some water and decides to take her medicine. With her blurry vision, she enters the washroom to wash her hands. Meanwhile, Sowmya swaps Mangal’s medicine with rat poison, determined to kill her. She thinks that Mangal will die tonight. Just as she is about to leave, Mangal opens the bathroom door and comes out. She doesn’t see Sowmya even though she is standing nearby. Sowmya quietly slips out of the room.
Mangal picks up the rat poison bottle and feels the smell is strange, but assuming it is her medicine, she proceeds. She lies down and starts feeling suffocated. Sowmya imagines this happening and feels delighted. In reality, Mangal hasn’t taken the poison yet—Sowmya was only dreaming. Mangal notices wind blowing in through the window and slowly gets up to close it. She looks for her medicine, picks up the rat poison tablets, and is about to consume them when Kusum arrives in time and stops her. Kusum asks why she is taking rat poison and says that if she hadn’t arrived, Mangal would have been in grave danger. Mangal explains that her medicines are usually kept there and she assumed they were hers. Kusum wonders who kept rat poison in Mangal’s room. Sowmya witnesses this and becomes stressed. Mangal asks Kusum not to worry and says maybe a worker mistakenly placed it there. Sowmya tries to leave, but her saree gets stuck. Kusum tells Mangal that despite everything Sowmya did to her, Mangal risked her own life to save her, proving she is a truly special person. Sowmya hides before Kusum can see her.
Adit speaks to Bhabhi Ji on call and says he will send the presentation. Sowmya arrives and questions who Bhabhi Ji is. Adit covers up with a lie. Sowmya creates a scene, accusing him and his mother of caring only about Mangal and not her. Adit reminds her that she and their baby are safe because of Mangal. Sowmya argues that it is their baby and scolds him for not getting her a present. When Adit asks what she wants, Sowmya demands a ₹7 lakh necklace. Adit says it is difficult but agrees. He thinks that even a ₹7,000 gift is tough with his salary, but Sowmya is unaware. He leaves.
Sowmya decides she should not try harming Mangal anymore because she might get caught, and since Mangal is already unwell, she may not be able to participate in the final competition anyway. Mangal tries to put eye drops in her eyes but struggles. Kusum arrives and helps her. She also gives Mangal gajar ka halwa and tells her not to open her eyes for 15 minutes before leaving.
Neil enters and sees that Mangal cannot see him properly. He steals money from her bag and dances in front of her. As he is about to leave, Mangal grabs his ear. Neil drops the money and asks how she caught him when she cannot see. Mangal says she isn’t completely blind and saw him stealing. She advises him not to follow the wrong path. Neil says he needs money. Mangal tells him she will help him if his intentions are good and warns him not to steal again. Neil agrees and leaves. Mangal thinks she must guide Neil onto the right path. She checks the time—12:30—and decides to reach the competition on time.
At the competition, Sowmya tells Bhabhi Ji that she doesn’t think Mangal will come and even if she does, she won’t be able to cook. She urges them to start the finale. Bhabhi Ji says they can wait for Mangal, unlike her. Sowmya argues that Mangal cannot see, so how can she cook? As she gestures, her hand hits a glass bowl, and just then, Mangal arrives and catches the glass jar in time.
