The episode begins with Mangal asking Sowmya if she has anything left to say in her defense. Sowmya replies that she didn’t know it was a Suhagan Pooja and apologizes to Kusum and Adit. Enraged, Adit walks away. Sowmya follows him to his room and insists she genuinely didn’t know about the nature of the ritual. Adit, however, confronts her and tells her not to lie. He says he recognized her handwriting and knows it was her mistake. He adds, “If Mangal hadn’t shown the photo, you would have kept blaming her, and now you’re calling it an honest mistake?” When Sowmya tries to explain further, Adit cuts her off, saying, “Right now, I can’t even bear to look at your face,” and turns away.
Meanwhile, Mangal emotionally tells Kusum how much she missed the family. She says, “I pray to Maata Rani every day. One day she will clear all your misunderstandings, and you’ll love me like you used to.” After expressing her feelings, she quietly leaves.
Sowmya tries to defend herself again in front of Adit, saying, “Yesterday, you forgot Kusum’s birthday. Amma loves poojas, so I enrolled her name with good intentions. I didn’t know it was Vat Savitri Pooja.” She admits she doesn’t believe in rituals much but is slowly trying to learn. “Kusum taught Mangal everything, but I have no one to guide me,” she adds. “Today, I made an honest mistake, and you can’t forgive me. You all turn a blind eye to Mangal’s faults. She was responsible for your father’s death, yet she still lives here, and I don’t even get forgiveness for a small error. Is this the respect I have in this house?” Adit remains silent as Sowmya walks away in tears.
Kusum is seen crying while holding Sudesh’s photo and prays to Maata Rani to show her the right path. Mangal tries to light a diya, but it keeps blowing out due to the wind. She feels it may be a sign of danger. As she looks at Sudesh’s photo, she pleads with Maata Rani to help her prove to Kusum and Adit that she is not responsible for his death. Just then, a gust of wind knocks the garland off Sudesh’s photo. As Mangal rushes to catch the falling frame, she accidentally breaks a vase. The loud noise wakes Kusum, who rushes toward it but slips and injures her head. Blood from the wound fills her hair parting like sindoor. Mangal manages to catch Sudesh’s photo before it hits the ground.
Elsewhere, Sudesh is seen pulling a handcart loaded with packets. He trips and falls due to a rock in his path. Back at home, Kusum tells Adit that she saw Sudesh in her dream, trying to convey something. Mangal gently asks what he said, but Sowmya interrupts with a sarcastic comment, accusing Mangal of being the reason for Kusum’s condition. Adit tells Sowmya not to create a scene, as he is trying to calm his mother. Sowmya walks away, and Mangal follows her.
Mangal stops her and accuses her of sending a message to Sudesh using her (Mangal’s) phone. “The truth will come out soon,” she warns. “At least fear God—He knows everything.” Sowmya brushes her off, telling her to mind her own business. When she sees Adit coming out, she quickly changes the topic. Mangal, trying to avoid another confrontation, says she doesn’t want a scene, as she’s worried for Amma, and walks away.
Later, Kapil calls Mangal. When he notices her voice is low, he asks if everything is alright. Mangal tells him that Kusum’s health isn’t good. Kapil informs her about a meeting scheduled for the next day, and Mangal agrees to attend.
The next day, while shopping for some items, Mangal notices a man shouting at an elderly person and forcing him to work. She rushes to stand up for the old man, but by the time she gets there, the man is gone. Just then, Akshat calls and asks Mangal to come home soon for the Shanti Pooja arranged in Sudesh’s memory. Sowmya takes the phone and taunts her, saying, “Don’t bother coming home. This house is more peaceful without you.”
As Mangal turns around, she sees the same old man struggling to pull a handcart. When he nearly slips, she rushes to help him—and is shocked to see that it is Sudesh, injured and alive.
