The episode starts with the Pandit arriving at the Saxena house. Kusum welcomes him and asks him to perform a Shanti Pooja on the occasion of her grandson’s birthday. Ishana feels happy seeing Mangal preparing a gift. Mangal wishes her a happy birthday and blesses her to become a great dancer. Akshat also wishes her. Mangal asks Ishana to invite all her friends to the birthday party that evening, and Ishana agrees.
Later, Ishana and Mangal come to the hall. Kusum says, “Come, beta, we were waiting for you.” Ishana smiles and says okay. Kusum then adds, “I was talking to Neel, as I’ve kept this hawan for him.” Ishana gets shocked. Neel mocks Ishana, saying this hawan is for him because he is their real family member, unlike her. Mangal notices Ishana’s distress. Neel sits for the hawan. Kusum applies tika to him. The Pandit asks Kusum to give Neel the gift she has prepared. Kusum gifts Neel a gold chain that belonged to Adit. Neel thanks her.
As Ishana is about to leave in tears, Mangal stops her and says she also has a gift for her since Neel has already received his. Mangal gives her the present and asks her to open it. Ishana finds the bracelet she once admired and says it’s too expensive. Mangal replies, “You loved it, so I got it for you.” Ishana thanks her, and Adit feels happy. The Pandit says he will begin the hawan once everyone is seated. Kusum says everyone is present, but Mangal stops him and says it’s the birthday of two children, so both should sit for the ritual. She makes Ishana sit beside Neel. Kusum takes Mangal aside angrily. Sowmya comments that Kusum didn’t like Mangal making Ishana sit in the hawan. Ishana overhears it. Kusum tells Mangal that she did wrong by involving Ishana since the hawan was meant for Neel to make him feel special. Mangal says she didn’t want Ishana to feel left out, but Kusum justifies her own actions and insists Mangal is wrong.
Later, Mangal prepares two cakes. Akshat asks why there are two. Mangal explains that Ishana is allergic to maida, so she’s baking one for Ishana and another for Neel. Sowmya gives Ishana a gift. Ishana thanks her, saying it’s not needed. Sowmya mentions that Mangal is preparing two cakes — one for her and one for Neel. Ishana doesn’t like hearing that. Mangal places Ishana’s cake in the oven. When Mangal and Akshat step out, someone changes the oven settings to burn the cake.
Later, Mangal prepares Neel’s cake. Ishana comes there. Akshat tells Ishana that her mom baked a cake for her in the oven. When Mangal takes out the cake, it’s burnt. Ishana accuses Mangal of doing it intentionally, saying, “I’m not your daughter, that’s why you burnt my cake, and Neel’s is fine.” Neel adds, “True, you’re no one, and I’m the real son.” Ishana leaves crying. Mangal scolds Neel for making Ishana feel bad. Neel looks at his cake and says he doesn’t want such a cake for his birthday, then spoils it. Mangal tells him it’s wrong to disrespect food. Neel tells her to stop lecturing him. Mangal asks him to clean the mess he made, but Neel refuses and walks away. Mangal stands helpless, not knowing how to handle Ishana and Neel.

At the birthday party, Neel blackmails Ishana to dance as he told her earlier — or he’ll reveal that she doesn’t belong to this house and that Mangal and Adit are not her real parents.
Neel humiliates Ishana by throwing paper at her as drunkards throw money at dancers. Mangal slaps Neel and reprimands him, demanding that he apologise to Ishana.
