The episode starts with Kapil asking Mangal to promise him that she will never let any misunderstanding come between them. He asks her to trust him. Mangal says she has complete trust in him and that she will talk to Amma as well. Kapil agrees.
The next day, Kapil wonders which dress will look good on him. He wants to take Mangal’s opinion but thinks she might be busy with her haldi ceremony. Pratima comes there. Kapil says he wanted to take Mangal’s help but stopped, thinking she would be busy with her haldi. Pratima says, “Today, I’ll select for you, and after marriage, you can wear clothes of Mangal’s choice.” She chooses a dress for him and asks him to get ready for the haldi.
Pratima asks Bijli to prepare the haldi soon, as they need to send it to Mangal too. Chinta Bua comes and says there’s no need to send Bijli with the haldi to Mangal. Mangal gets ready for her haldi. She asks Shanti about Lipika. Meanwhile, Lipika comes to Kapil’s house and greets Chinta Bua. She asks her why she called her, saying her mother told her that Chinta Bua wanted to meet her. Shanti lies to Mangal, saying Lipika went to the parlour. Pratima wonders why Chinta Bua called Lipika. Chinta Bua tells Lipika that there’s a custom where the bride’s sister prepares the haldi, so she should prepare it. Chinta Bua’s hidden intention is to make Lipika Kapil’s bride instead of Mangal.
Mangal tells Shanti that she doesn’t know where Kusum is, and her call is not connecting. Kusum, in her room, recalls how Chinta Bua insulted her. Sudesh comes to Kusum and asks why she didn’t go to Mangal’s haldi. Mangal tells Shanti that maybe Kusum is still upset over what happened during the mehendi and says she will call her again. Kusum asks Adit if he ate his tiffin. Adit says no and leaves. Kusum sits near Maata Rani and ignores Mangal’s calls. She thinks Adit is repenting for his mistake. She sees the potli with divorce papers and is about to touch it, but Sudesh calls her, stopping her.
Lipika gives the haldi to Chinta Bua, saying she prepared it. Chinta Bua praises her. Lipika tells Kapil to start the ritual, as her sister must be waiting for his haldi. Shanti asks Mangal to sit for the haldi and not wait for Kusum. The guests ask Shanti to start the ritual. They play music and dance. Shanti tries to lighten Mangal’s mood, but Mangal keeps waiting for Kusum. Everyone applies haldi to Kapil, and his family members dance happily. Mangal feels happy when she sees Kusum arriving. She tells Kusum that now she can happily sit for her haldi ritual. Shanti says she’s glad Kusum came and that she’ll ask Lipika to bring the haldi.
On the other side, Pratima asks Lipika to take the haldi. Chinta Bua pushes Bijli toward Lipika to make the haldi fall on her, but Bijli bounces back and collides with Chinta Bua instead, causing Chinta Bua to fall. The haldi doesn’t fall on Lipika as Chinta Bua planned. Kusum takes Mangal to her room. Mangal asks Kusum not to be upset with Kapil’s family and says Kapil promised that no mistake will happen again. Kusum asks Mangal to refuse to marry Kapil. Mangal is shocked.

Precap – Adit asks Mangal why is she packing children’s clothes. Mangal says to Adit that if she leaves her children will also leave with them. Adit says to Mangal that they will take care of the children. Mangal says she will not allow the children to stay here. Kusum asks Mangal if she thinks they cannot take care of the children properly. Mangal stays silent.
