The episode starts with Kapil deciding to play Mangal’s audio message, but he realizes his phone is switched off. He puts it on charge and leaves from there. Mangal checks the account and senses something is wrong. She looks for her phone but doesn’t find it. She waits for Kapil so she can talk to him about the accounts.
Meanwhile, Pratima notices Kapil’s phone charging. She turns it on and begins to clean it. While doing so, she accidentally plays Mangal’s voice message. In the message, Mangal says she is being forced into the marriage only because of her mother, who threatened to refuse her operation if Mangal didn’t agree to the wedding. Just then, Kapil arrives and sees Pratima with his phone.
Elsewhere, Ishana arrives at the office to see if her plan has worked.
Kapil then confronts Mangal. He tells her that he never expected her to do something like this and accuses her of playing with his emotions. He says he didn’t know she was being forced into the marriage and expresses his disappointment, stating that she has fallen in his eyes. He then breaks off the engagement. However, this turns out to be Ishana’s imagination. She smiles, feeling pleased at the thought.
An employee at the office recognizes Ishana and says, “You’re Mangal ma’am’s daughter, right? You can go inside.” Ishana nods and proceeds. She sees Kapil talking to Mangal happily and is surprised. She wonders why he’s behaving normally even though the message was already delivered to him. She decides to leave before Mangal sees her, but accidentally collides with a rack. Files fall on her, and the rack is about to fall when Kapil saves her just in time. He asks if she’s okay. Ishana recalls how he slapped Adit before.
Mangal arrives and asks Ishana what she’s doing at the office. Ishana lies to her and wonders if Kapil has heard the message or not. It’s then revealed that Pratima deleted the audio message from Kapil’s phone. Pratima wonders why Mangal sent such a message and suspects it might have been to make Kapil back out of the marriage. She calls Mangal but receives no response and assumes Mangal is ignoring her calls. Concerned, Pratima heads to the office.
Later, Kapil prints a document for Ishana and offers her tea. While cleaning her sandal, Mangal’s phone rings. As she gets up, she hits her head on the table. Kapil rushes to help her, but she stops him. She congratulates him on his engagement. Kapil thanks her and apologizes for what happened the previous day. As she’s about to leave, he stops her and says he wants to take her and Akshat out for dinner to get to know them better, as Mangal’s happiness lies with them. Ishana realizes that Kapil hasn’t heard the voice message. Kapil requests her to come to the dinner with Akshat.
Pratima arrives at the office, upset, and confronts Mangal about not answering her calls. Mangal says she forgot her phone at home and asks why Pratima looks so stressed. Pratima is confused, wondering who sent the recording if Mangal didn’t have her phone. When Mangal again asks why she seems tense, Pratima hides her concern and tells her to focus on work. She thinks to herself that someone else must have sent the audio message and is trying to stop the wedding—she vows to find out who it is.
Mangal’s phone rings again. Feeling nervous, Ishana takes it from Kapil’s desk. She tells Kapil that she and Akshat will come for the outing and leaves. Ishana wonders why Pratima is repeatedly calling her mom. Just then, she bumps into Pratima and drops the phone. Pratima sees Ishana with the phone and realizes that she’s the one plotting to stop the wedding.
Later, Ishana meets Mangal and says Kapil isn’t a bad person, that he apologized, and that they might be able to adjust with him. Mangal feels happy and hugs Ishana. However, Ishana hides her true intentions and walks away, thinking to herself that she will never let Mangal and Kapil’s marriage happen.
