The episode starts with Karthik asking Lakshmi to stop believing in such rituals. Lakshmi says, “What if mom’s dream comes true?” Karthik replies, “This ritual is a trap arranged by Jia,” and asks the pandit to leave. The pandit blesses Karthik and his family before leaving. Karthik then tells Gayatri, “I don’t believe in these superstitions. I will not marry Jia—I am committed to Lakshmi.”
Gayatri stops Karthik and says, “I will not eat or drink until you agree to marry Jia. If you don’t, I will die.” She leaves. Real Jia, disguised as Imarti, tells Karthik not to marry Jia and promises to make Gayatri break her fast. Karthik walks away. Jia thinks, I came as Imarti to marry Karthik, but this fake Jia is ruining my plan. I hope he doesn’t agree to marry her. Lakshmi thinks, I’m executing this plan to expose Jia, and soon it will succeed.
Fake Jia thanks Lakshmi for releasing her from jail. Lakshmi warns her not to reveal that they are working together. Just then, Jia comes to confront Fake Jia. She sees Lakshmi with her. Lakshmi notices Jia’s reflection in the mirror and immediately pretends to argue with Fake Jia, threatening her. Jia hides and watches.
Later, Lakshmi meets Gayatri and asks her to make Karthik agree to the marriage. Gayatri says he isn’t listening. Lakshmi threatens, “You have to do it, otherwise I will expose your deal with the doctor.” Seeing Karthik approach, Lakshmi starts acting and tells Gayatri she will never agree to his second marriage. Gayatri insists it’s necessary for Karthik’s future and suddenly collapses. Karthik holds her, and they take her to her room. Gayatri emotionally blackmails Karthik again, asking him to marry Jia. When Fake Jia tries to stay back, Karthik asks her to leave, but she says, “Gayatri aunty brought me here, so I’ll stay.” Gayatri continues to act as though her health is deteriorating. Umesh warns her that she is wrong to emotionally blackmail Karthik.
Lakshmi later meets Karthik. Karthik says, “I can’t fulfill mom’s wish, because I can’t live without you.” Lakshmi asks him to act as if he is agreeing to the marriage so Gayatri will break her hunger strike. Karthik agrees to pretend.
Karthik goes to Gayatri and asks her to take her medicine, but she refuses and says she would rather die. To calm her, Karthik says, “I agree to your wish. I will marry Jia.” Real Jia and the family are shocked. Jia thinks, I will lose Karthik if he marries this fake Jia. My plan is failing.
Later, Jia finds Lakshmi crying and asks what happened. Lakshmi acts heartbroken, saying, “Karthik is marrying Jia, but he still loves you.” Jia wonders if Karthik truly loves her. She asks if it’s true. Lakshmi replies, “Yes, it’s true. It’s not easy to forget a first love,” and leaves. Jia then decides to reveal her true identity as the real Jia and end her Imarti act. Lakshmi sees this and thinks, My plan is working.
