The episode starts with Karthik catching Lakshmi as she falls down the stairs. Lakshmi thanks him and gets ready to leave. Karthik stops her and asks why she saved his life. Lakshmi reminds him that his life was in danger and says she had his medicine with her, so she saved him. Karthik asks if she is doing all this to trouble him. He says that if she thinks he will come after her and beg for her love because of this, she is mistaken. Karthik says he has forgotten her. Lakshmi replies, “Good,” and makes a sarcastic comment.
Barkha spots Karthik with Lakshmi and asks what’s going on. Karthik says he was just thanking Lakshmi for saving him. Lakshmi makes a remark and leaves. Barkha recalls Bhavani’s words about Lakshmi’s behavior toward Karthik and thinks she must do something about her.
Later, as Lakshmi walks toward her room, Barkha—wearing a hoodie and mask—throws knives at her in the dark. Lakshmi runs into a room to escape and finds electric wires all around.
Karan wakes up at night and notices Lakshmi isn’t in the room. He searches for her and checks Karthik’s room, where Karthik is asleep. Karan calls Swetha and asks if she knows where Lakshmi is, but Swetha says no.
Lakshmi tries to escape using a wooden plank but slips and gets electrocuted. Karthik removes the fuse. Barkha wonders why the lights went off just as she was teaching Lakshmi a lesson. She sees Karthik and asks why he removed the fuse. He says the light in his room was flickering, so he did it, but now everything looks fine. When he replaces the fuse, Barkha sees Lakshmi escaping through the window and thinks Lakshmi was saved today because of Karthik.
Karan worries about Lakshmi. Lakshmi returns and strangles Karan, accusing him of torturing and locking her up. Karan says he would attack from the front, not from behind. He warns her, and in the process, her spectacles break. Lakshmi asks why he broke them, but Karan picks them up and leaves.
The next day, someone secretly records Lakshmi on their phone. Lakshmi senses something, turns around, but sees no one. She dismisses it as her imagination. Dadi arrives with a saree and jewelry, asking Lakshmi to wear them. When Lakshmi questions the need, Dadi says she has dreams for her grandson’s wife and wants Lakshmi to look like a true Kapoor. She notices Lakshmi isn’t wearing her spectacles; Lakshmi explains they broke. Dadi says she looks beautiful without them and insists she get ready. Lakshmi agrees.
At the dining table, Karan wonders where Lakshmi is. Karthik thinks the same. Karan teases Karthik, calling him “Jija Ji,” and asks whom he’s searching for. Just then, Lakshmi enters in her new look, mesmerizing everyone. Karthik notices Karan’s reaction. The family members are stunned to see Lakshmi’s transformation.
