The episode starts with Karthik falling from the human pyramid without breaking the Dahi Handi. The family members feel worried for him. Karthik’s hand gets injured, and Lakshmi goes to get water. Babaji’s accomplice secretly adds some powder to the prasad. Sanjana says that since Karthik is injured, this time their parampara (tradition) might be broken. Umesh and Gayatri also look worried.
Karthik insists that the parampara cannot be broken. Lakshmi asks how that’s possible when he is injured. Karthik says, “My Maha Lakshmi will do it.” Lakshmi refuses, but Karthik encourages her to take part. The family members also cheer Lakshmi on. Karthik tells her, “I’m with you. Become my hands and I will take you upstairs on my shoulders. Are you ready to break the Dahi Handi?” Lakshmi agrees.
Lakshmi climbs onto Karthik’s shoulders and breaks the Dahi Handi. Everyone feels happy except Gayatri and Sanjana. The family dances joyfully. Karthik tells Lakshmi that he feels like little Krishna will soon be coming to their house. Babaji’s accomplice serves the spiked prasad to Lakshmi and her family. They eat it and return home.
Nidhi tells Bua Ji that she has a headache. She then sees that Sanjana, Umesh, and Gayatri are already unconscious. Soon, Karthik and Lakshmi also fall unconscious, followed by Nidhi.
Babaji and his accomplice are about to leave the house with money and jewellery when everyone suddenly wakes up and catches them. Babaji asks if they didn’t fall asleep. Lakshmi says she saw his man mixing powder in the prasad, so she had already warned her family. Gayatri silently wishes Babaji wouldn’t expose her intentions to stop Lakshmi from becoming pregnant.
Babaji and his man use a smoke bomb to escape, taking Gayatri with them. Babaji asks Gayatri to save them, or else he will expose her. Gayatri says she never asked him to kill Lakshmi, so he should bear the punishment in the police station. He tries to stab her, but Lakshmi comes in between and gets stabbed.
Karthik rushes Lakshmi to the hospital. On the way, his car gets stuck in a traffic jam, so he carries her in his arms. Gayatri returns home, and Umesh asks about Lakshmi and Karthik. Gayatri tells him that Lakshmi was injured while saving her, and Karthik took her to the hospital. Umesh says they should also go, but Gayatri and Nidhi ask him not to take stress.
At the hospital, Karthik asks the doctor to check Lakshmi. The doctor tells him to complete the formalities first. Meanwhile, Gayatri makes Umesh sleep. Sanjana confronts Gayatri, saying she must be happy that Lakshmi is close to death. Gayatri denies the accusation, but Sanjana reminds her that she brought Babaji home and warns that if Karthik loses Lakshmi, he will not spare her.
The doctors operate on Lakshmi in the ICU while Karthik cries outside. Later, the doctor comes out and tells Karthik that Lakshmi’s spinal cord has been attacked, and she may become paralysed. She explains that she is informing him now so he can be prepared. Karthik collapses into a chair.
