The episode starts with Devi Maa in Lakshmi roop refusing to let Karthik apply sindoor on her maang. Jia says it is wrong, but Devi Maa replies that she has already applied her husband’s sindoor. Gayatri asks Lakshmi not to create a scene. Lakshmi pleads with Karthik to understand, but Karthik says Lakshmi has already worn sindoor in his name, so it is fine. Jia thinks Lakshmi is scared of sindoor and suspects she might be a spirit.
An old woman sees unconscious Lakshmi at her place. She worries that even the doctor’s treatment did not work and believes that if Lakshmi’s husband applies sindoor on her maang on the first day of Navratri, she might regain consciousness. She prays to Maata Rani for this.
Maata Rani leaves the Suhaagan plate. Jia spies on her and follows. Devi Maa thinks Lakshmi has the right to Karthik’s sindoor and decides to give it to her. Jia tries to attack Devi Maa by pushing a heavy iron cart, but it doesn’t harm her. Jia is shocked and touches the cart, only to see the iron drop. She suspects Lakshmi is a spirit and follows, but smoke stops her midway.
Devi Maa reaches Lakshmi, sees her unconscious on the bed, applies Karthik’s sindoor on her maang, makes her wear the nuptial chain, and blesses her saying today is her last day of suffering.
Meanwhile, Jia decides to expose Lakshmi. She shows photos to people, but no one sees Lakshmi in them, which strengthens her suspicion. At home, Jia tells Karthik and the family that a spirit lives among them. Gayatri dismisses it as drama. Lakshmi arrives, and Jia calls her a spirit. Karthik scolds Jia for insulting his wife. Jia insists Lakshmi’s behavior has changed and asks Karthik to take her picture. The first photo shows blank, but Lakshmi explains the camera cover was closed. When another photo is clicked, Lakshmi appears in it, shocking Jia. Lakshmi taunts Imarti/ Jia about her fear. Karthik asks Jia to stop hallucinating and warns her that he will not leave her if something happens to his and Lakshmi’s baby. Jia demands Karthik to apply sindoor to Lakshmi mang to see the truth.

Precap: Jia collapses. Lakshmi and Karthik rush to her. The doctor checks Jia and says he cannot hear the baby’s heartbeat. Lakshmi thinks Jia’s truth will be exposed today.
