The episode starts with Lakshmi waking up in the morning and recalling that a masked man tried to rape her the previous night, and she stabbed him in the back with a knife.
Lakshmi passes by Vyom’s room and notices a wound on his back. She realizes that Vyom was the one who tried to molest her.
Lakshmi enters Vyom’s room and confronts him. She takes a belt and begins hitting him with it.
Vyom runs to Bhavani and asks her to save him. Bhavani questions Lakshmi about what she is doing. Lakshmi argues with Bhavani and accuses Vyom of trying to molest her the previous night.
Lakshmi reminds Dadi that she had told her about the incident and reveals that Vyom is the culprit. Barkha refuses to believe it, saying Vyom was with her at a party all night and could not have done it. Lakshmi insists they are lying and begs Dadi to trust her.
Vyom tells Dadi that Lakshmi was with another man the previous night and stabbed him out of fear of being exposed. Lakshmi denies his claim.
It is shown that Vyom actually escaped through the window the previous night. Bhavani and Barkha saw him and questioned him, but Vyom lied and said Lakshmi was with another man and stabbed him to protect herself. Bhavani and Barkha decide to teach Lakshmi a lesson. Vyom says they will do it at the right time.
Bhavani decides to pour black water on Lakshmi to punish her. Barkha takes the black water and pours it on Lakshmi. Karan arrives and questions them. Barkha accuses Lakshmi of trapping Karan and bringing someone home in his absence, and claims that Vyom got attacked while trying to expose her. Lakshmi says she acted in self-defense and that they are lying. Karan stops Lakshmi from saying more. Vyom claims that Lakshmi has a loose character. Bhavani tries to slap Lakshmi, but Karan stops her. Karan declares that Lakshmi is not lying. Bhavani questions him for supporting Lakshmi over his brother. Karan replies that Lakshmi would never lie about something so serious. Bhavani says she trusts her son Vyom and leaves with the family. Lakshmi stands shocked.
Lakshmi goes to her room and thanks Karan for saving her. Karan asks why she attacked Vyom. Lakshmi questions why he is behaving differently now after trusting her in front of everyone. Karan replies that he took a stand for his wife, not for her, and that she is not special enough for him to defend personally. Lakshmi says she thought he was good from the inside, but she was wrong. Karan rebukes her and leaves.
Vyom taunts Bhavani, saying she acts like the owner of the house but today looked like a mere servant. He adds that she is not Karan’s biological mother and now it’s clear that she has no respect in the family. Bhavani vows not to spare Lakshmi.
Lakshmi decorates the temple. Dadi tells Lakshmi that she trusts her and has come to give her the family heirloom bangles. Bhavani is shocked. Lakshmi refuses to accept them. Karan arrives and says Lakshmi cannot refuse unless he makes her wear them. Dadi asks him to do it, and he makes Lakshmi wear the bangles. Dadi leaves. Karan asks Lakshmi why she refused. Lakshmi replies that Dadi saved them for Karan’s wife, and she cannot wear them. Karan insists she must wear them and walks away.
