The episode begins with Karthik furiously breaking things in his room. Umesh enters and tries to calm him down. He says, “The things you’re breaking don’t have life, so they won’t feel pain. But you hurt Lakshmi, who has emotions—and she did nothing wrong.” Karthik retorts that Lakshmi failed to keep her word. Umesh explains that Lakshmi tried her best, but Jia had locked her in the room and created the mess. He reminds Karthik that Lakshmi risked her life for him. “It was just a party that got spoiled, but you’ve hurt her deeply. Be a man and apologise to her,” he says. Karthik finally agrees.
In the kitchen, Lakshmi is lost in thoughts about Karthik’s harsh words and accidentally cuts her finger. Sanjana comes in and tells her not to believe Jia, who is behaving like a mad person. She says, “I’ll confront Jia and make her confess the truth.” But Lakshmi stops her, saying, “I failed to handle the party and Jia, so I deserve Karthik’s anger.” Sanjana tries to reason with her, saying, “You’re blaming yourself unnecessarily. It’s all Jia’s game, and Karthik is upset because of her manipulations.” However, Lakshmi assures her that Karthik will calm down soon and asks her to leave the kitchen.
Later, Lakshmi finds a chit wrapped around a stone. It’s a letter from Karthik, asking her to meet him in the garden. At the same time, Karthik also receives a letter from Lakshmi with the same request. Both go to the garden, each suspecting that Jia might be behind the letters. They bump into each other and are confused, asking why the other called them there. When they realise neither of them sent the note, the lights suddenly turn on, revealing a beautifully decorated place. Gayatri appears and tells them to stop fighting. She admits, “I was the one who called you both here. You’ve not been at peace because of me and Jia. I wanted to make things right.” Karthik and Lakshmi both insist it’s not her fault. Karthik says, “You did the right thing by getting me married to Lakshmi.” Gayatri, filled with emotion, says, “I’ve caused you enough pain, but not anymore. I arranged this dinner date so you could clear your misunderstandings and be happy.” She leaves them alone.
Karthik apologises to Lakshmi for hurting her. Lakshmi says, “I can fight the whole world, but I can’t bear your anger.” Karthik promises never to behave that way again. They resolve their issues, enjoy the dinner together, and share sweet, romantic moments.
Later, Karthik and Lakshmi return to their room and are about to get romantic when the power suddenly goes out. Lakshmi fetches a candle, and Karthik lights it. He compliments her, saying she looks even more beautiful in candlelight. Just then, Jia enters the room and says she’s scared of the dark because a ghost might come for her. Lakshmi and Karthik try to comfort her and tell her the power will return in a couple of minutes. Jia refuses to go alone and asks Karthik to come with her.
Karthik gives Jia a candle and asks her to return to her room, assuring her that she doesn’t need to sleep alone. Jia leaves, but as she sees someone approaching her room, she assumes it’s Karthik. She invites the person to the bed, but when the lights turn on, she’s shocked to see Lakshmi standing there instead. Jia asks, “What are you doing here?” Lakshmi calmly replies, “Were you expecting someone?” Jia says, “Karthik.” Lakshmi smiles and says, “I’m your friend too,” and lies down beside her on the bed.
Lakshmi remembers Sanjana’s words about Jia trying to separate her from Karthik. While Lakshmi sleeps, Jia wakes up, picks up a pillow, and is about to place it over Lakshmi’s face. But just then, Lakshmi wakes up and catches Jia in shock.
