The episode starts with Lakshmi performing a dance on stage with her face covered by a veil, replacing Kalyani. Everyone enjoys her performance. Karthik feels that he has seen those eyes somewhere before. After the performance, Lakshmi’s veil falls off, but Karthik doesn’t see her face as a young fan approaches him for an autograph. Karan and Barkha, however, see Lakshmi’s face. Lakshmi quickly covers herself again and leaves the stage.
Maddy tells Karan that Lakshmi is a complete package of talent, but Karan disagrees. Karthik wonders why he feels like he has seen this girl before and follows her. Lakshmi enters a room and locks the door. From outside, Karthik tells her that she’s a great artist and that her eyes touched his heart — as if she expressed her emotions through them. He says it feels like there’s a connection between them because they’re both artists. He adds that he just wanted to tell her her performance was wonderful. Lakshmi becomes emotional hearing this. Karthik leaves, and Barkha witnesses the moment angrily. Lakshmi thinks, “How do I tell you that it’s our story you witnessed — but it already ended.”
Later, Barkha scolds Lakshmi for dancing on stage. Kalyani steps in and says she wasn’t in a condition to perform, so Lakshmi filled in. Lakshmi explains that she only wanted to save the event. Barkha sees Karan arrive and accuses Lakshmi of trying to trap rich boys, asking Karan to fire her. Lakshmi defends herself, saying she only did it to save the show. Karan thanks Lakshmi for saving the event and says that the highlights of the day were Karthik’s performance and Lakshmi’s energetic dance, so he’s forgiving her this time. Barkha feels upset.
Lakshmi later writes her resignation letter and leaves it in Karan’s cabin. The next day, Karan reads it and asks if she’s playing mind games. Lakshmi replies that it’s for personal reasons and she can’t work there anymore. As she’s about to leave, Karan stops her, saying that people leave only when he allows them to. Lakshmi protests, saying he can’t stop her, but Karan ties her to a chair. Lakshmi calls it harassment and threatens to call the police. Karan says she can, but only after office hours. He tells her to become Karthik’s assistant and start writing lyrics for him.
Meanwhile, Barkha throws a party for Karthik’s success. Karthik thanks her for her support. She touches his hand, but he pulls away. Karan tells Lakshmi that Karthik’s career would have been over if he hadn’t received good lyrics. He adds that the management can fire her, but she can’t resign, and tears her resignation letter. He orders her to go write songs for Karthik and frees her. Lakshmi warns him not to force her again and leaves.
Maddy teases Karan about Lakshmi. Karan says Lakshmi is irritating but talented, so he doesn’t want her to quit. Barkha tells Karthik that she likes him and sees a winner in him. She confesses her feelings, but Karthik politely says he respects her but can’t reciprocate. As he’s about to leave, Barkha hurts her hand and stops him, asking if they can at least be friends. Karthik agrees, and she invites him to the Diwali party. Barkha decides to win Karthik’s heart. Lakshmi, on the other hand, worries about facing Karthik again. Just then, she receives a call from Dadi.
