The episode begins with Jia cutting her hand and smearing blood on Karthik’s portrait. She says, “Until now you saw my love, but now you will witness my hatred, Karthik. I will make you shed tears of blood.”
Meanwhile, Karthik sees Lakshmi coming downstairs dressed up. Gayatri asks Lakshmi to wear bangles. Karthik helps her wear them and openly romances her. Gayatri, displeased, sends the mehendi through Nidhi. Umesh asks Gayatri why she didn’t give it personally, since it’s auspicious. Gayatri replies that she was only pretending for his sake and can’t continue acting anymore. Lakshmi overhears this and feels hurt, realizing Gayatri never truly accepted her.
Later, Karthik applies mehendi to Lakshmi. Sanjana teases him and tells him to also perform the swing ritual. Karthik happily agrees. As Lakshmi sits on the swing, it breaks suddenly. Lakshmi quickly saves Karthik from falling and they both tumble to the ground. Lakshmi worries about the repeated inauspicious signs. Karthik and Sanjana try to reassure her.
Karthik and Lakshmi then make a Shiv-Parvati idol together. Sanjana watches happily and prays for their togetherness. Meanwhile, Jia tampers with a diya. Gayatri gives the diya to Lakshmi, asking her to light it for Karthik’s long life. As Lakshmi lights it, the diya bursts. Karthik rushes to her. Gayatri dismisses it as an accident and sends everyone away. Lakshmi confronts her, accusing her of tampering with the diya. Gayatri denies it and walks off.
Later, Karthik asks Lakshmi to read a story. Sanjana offers him food, but he refuses. Umesh says it’s clear Karthik will break his fast with Lakshmi. They all smile knowingly.
The next morning, Jia dresses like Gayatri and adds poison to the water that Lakshmi will use to end her fast. She thinks, “Today Lakshmi will die.” Nidhi gives Karthik the plate to break Lakshmi’s fast. Just as he is about to make her drink the water, Sanjana intervenes, asking Lakshmi to break Karthik’s fast first. Lakshmi agrees and lifts the glass to his lips—shocking Jia.
