The episode starts with Karthik telling Karan that he talked to Barkha and that he doesn’t want to marry anyone right now. Karan gets furious and throws water on Karthik’s face. He asks Karthik how dare he reject his sister and hands him a termination letter, asking him to get out.
Lakshmi, who is standing outside Karan’s cabin, overhears him scolding someone but doesn’t realize it’s Karthik. Karthik takes the termination letter and is about to leave when Karan comments on him. Karan then says he’ll give Karthik another chance and asks him to reconsider, warning that if he steps out of the cabin, he’ll ruin his career. Karthik replies that Karan cannot buy him. Karan taunts him, saying he’s talking like this because of the cheque Karan gave him. Karan tears the cheque and asks Karthik what he’ll do now. Karthik leaves angrily.
Karthik receives a call from Gayatri, who informs him that Mukesh has been admitted to the hospital. She asks Karthik to arrange money for the treatment. Karthik agrees.
Barkha confronts Karan for terminating Karthik. She lashes out at him, saying he wouldn’t have done this if she were his real sister. Karan warns her not to say such things and assures her that he has always loved her more than his real sister. Barkha apologizes. Karan then reveals that he has a plan — he terminated Karthik on purpose and will make sure Barkha gets him. He asks her to buy an engagement ring as her engagement will be held tomorrow. Barkha happily agrees and leaves.
Karan calls his assistant and orders him to blacklist Karthik from all music companies. The assistant agrees.
Later, Lakshmi accidentally spills tea on Barkha, but Barkha doesn’t get angry and asks her not to worry. Lakshmi feels strange about Barkha’s calm behavior. The peon mentions that Barkha is happy because she’s getting married.
At Hotel Plaza, Karthik calls an event manager requesting a chance to perform at any upcoming event, but the call is cut short. He calls another company, but they refuse, saying he has been blacklisted and should not have messed with the Kapoors. Karthik gets angry. He then receives a call from the hospital informing him that they need to start his father’s treatment immediately and asking him to pay. Frustrated, Karthik throws things around. Just then, he receives a message suggesting that if he accepts Barkha, all his problems will be solved. Karthik tries calling Karan, but Karan ignores his calls, thinking that now Karthik will have to act on his terms.
Karan gathers all the office staff and announces that his little sister Barkha will get engaged tomorrow, and he wants full attendance. Barkha feels happy. Employees gossip about who the groom might be, and Barkha tells them they’ll find out tomorrow. Karan takes Barkha aside. Barkha asks if Karthik has agreed. Karan confidently replies that no one can go against him.
Meanwhile, Karthik feels cornered and says Karan is blackmailing him. He doesn’t know what to do. Lakshmi bumps into Barkha, and her belongings fall. Barkha scolds her. While picking up her things, Lakshmi notices Barkha stepping on a handkerchief embroidered with the letter “K.” She asks Barkha to move and takes her kerchief the one she made with K letter. She tries to wipe the black mark from it with tears. Barkha mocks her for always crying and asks her to stay back that night to prepare engagement outfits for her and her fiancé. Lakshmi agrees. Barkha instructs her to send regular updates about the dresses before leaving.
Swetha asks Lakshmi if they can go home. Lakshmi tells her to leave since Barkha asked her to stay back and work on the engagement outfits. Swetha makes a comment about Barkha and leaves. Lakshmi, lost in thought, says she feels like Karthik is slipping away from her.
