The episode starts with media personnel taking photos of Karthik at his comeback concert. Karthik asks Lakshmi to join him on stage and says the show is happening only because of her. The media captures pictures of them together and calls them a cute couple. Watching them with vengeance, Jia declares that she will ruin their moment today.
Lakshmi announces Karthik’s performance. As Karthik begins, a technical glitch halts the show, but Lakshmi encourages him to continue. The fans support him too. Karthik resumes and sings beautifully. Suddenly, Jia switches off the lights and music. Lakshmi gestures to Karthik that she’ll check the issue. She spots someone leaving the system room and sees that it’s Jia. She follows her, but Jia locks Lakshmi inside a room.
Meanwhile, the fans demand an encore from Karthik. Jia enters the stage and sings. The audience assumes it’s a planned surprise. Karthik stops the music and scolds Jia. Jia confesses her love for Karthik and reminds him of their past promises. Karthik firmly tells her that he doesn’t love her and asks her to leave. The media captures all the drama.
Lakshmi tries to escape the room but fails. On stage, Karthik says the audience came for his performance, not for drama. However, the crowd and media show interest and ask why he broke off his marriage promise to Jia. Karthik takes Jia away from the stage.
Lakshmi finally breaks the door and returns to the stage, only to find Karthik missing. When she asks the organizers, they tell her Karthik took Jia backstage after getting angry over the drama. Karthik tells Jia that he hates her and wants her out of his life. In response, Jia threatens suicide. She picks up a knife and tries to cut her wrist. Karthik stops her and asks if she’s gone mad. Jia yells at him to leave her alone.
Their argument is accidentally heard through the live mic. Lakshmi and others rush to the dressing room and find Jia collapsed on the floor, bleeding. The organizer checks her and declares Jia is dead. He questions Karthik, asking why he did it. Karthik tells Lakshmi he was only trying to stop her. Lakshmi assures him that she knows he didn’t harm Jia and asks him to leave the place with her.
Meanwhile, the media seeks public opinion. Some in the audience say that although Karthik claims innocence, it appears he is responsible for Jia’s death. The angry fans tear down his posters and create chaos. Karthik is shocked. The police arrive and state they need to arrest Karthik as the prime suspect. Despite Lakshmi’s pleas for proper investigation, they arrest Karthik and send Jia’s body for postmortem. Lakshmi breaks down in tears.
At home, Gayatri tells Umesh and Sanjana about her plan to build a studio for Karthik near their house. Nidhi comes downstairs and shows them the video of Karthik’s arrest. They are stunned. Gayatri asserts that Karthik is innocent.
Lakshmi returns and informs everyone about Karthik’s arrest. Gayatri slaps her and questions why she couldn’t protect Karthik despite her promises. Sanjana asks Gayatri not to blame Lakshmi. Lakshmi says she doesn’t know how things spiraled out of control and believes it’s all part of Jia’s conspiracy. She pleads with Umesh to do something to save Karthik. Gayatri wonders how they can help him.
Lakshmi speaks to Raghuveer over the phone and tells him everything. Raghuveer says he wishes he were in India to help as he knows Karthik is innocent. Lakshmi asks him how she can get Karthik released on bail. Raghuveer says there is one way and tells her something. Lakshmi agrees to proceed with it.
Later, Lakshmi comes downstairs and hears a baby’s cry. She finds a cradle and touches it — suddenly it catches fire. Umesh rushes to extinguish it and asks who brought the swing into the house. The crying sound continues. The doorbell rings. They open the door to find a pandit, who says he has come to perform a Shanti Pooja as someone had called him. They deny calling him, thinking he has the wrong address. Just then, Prema arrives and says it’s the correct house and asks the pandit to begin the pooja.
Lakshmi asks Prema to leave. Prema reveals that along with Jia, her unborn child—Karthik’s child—also died. Everyone is shocked to hear the revelation.
