The episode starts with the judge entering the courtroom. Gayatri informs Umesh that Lakshmi is missing and expresses her hatred toward her. The judge asks Sudesh whether Karthik’s lawyer has been arranged, to which Umesh replies that it hasn’t happened yet. The public prosecutor on Jia’s side urges the judge to punish Karthik, stating that he has no legal representation.
Just as the judge is about to make a declaration, Lakshmi enters the courtroom wearing a black coat and requests permission to fight Karthik’s case. Jia’s lawyer mocks her, asking if she is joking and questions whether she has a law degree. Lakshmi confidently responds that a victim or their family member can represent themselves in court if they are unable to find a lawyer. The judge agrees and grants Lakshmi permission to proceed.
Lakshmi then claims she has evidence proving Jia is alive. She calls upon forensic doctor Vikram to present the evidence. Although Prema and her lawyer object, the judge allows Lakshmi to proceed. Lakshmi explains that she found a heart-slowing medicine in Jia’s car. She states that if a normal person takes this drug, it can make them appear lifeless. According to Lakshmi, Jia used this drug to fake her death. She also mentions that she sent the ashes found at the scene for testing. Dr. Vikram confirms that the ashes belong to an animal, not to Jia. Lakshmi urges the judge to release Karthik and issue an order to search for Jia.
However, Jia’s lawyer interrupts, claiming she has further proof. At that moment, Vikram’s assistant Arpit arrives and accuses Lakshmi of bribing Vikram to produce a fake certificate. Vikram denies the allegation, but the courtroom descends into chaos. The judge orders everyone to remain silent. Prema and her lawyer support Arpit’s claim, insisting that Lakshmi manipulated the evidence. The judge then warns Lakshmi to prove that Jia is alive before the next hearing, or else a punishment will be declared. He adjourns the court.
Outside the courtroom, Karthik approaches Lakshmi. She apologizes, but Karthik reassures her, saying there is no need to say sorry as he believes only she can save him. He is then taken away by the police. Prema mocks Lakshmi, declaring that Karthik will receive a death sentence in the next hearing. Lakshmi tries to follow Prema, but Gayatri stops her and demands that she end her efforts. Lakshmi firmly responds that Karthik trusts her and she will do everything to get him released. She warns Gayatri not to stand in her way.
Later, Lakshmi spots Prema’s vehicle outside a lab and sees her giving money to Arpit. She secretly records the interaction on her phone. Lakshmi suspects that a third person saw her while she was collecting the ashes, and she wonders who it could be.
That night, Lakshmi sneaks into Jia’s house. She finds signs that two people recently had a meal, including Jia’s favorite dish—butter chicken. She then sees a shadow resembling Jia’s and becomes convinced that Jia is indeed alive.
