The episode begins with Raghuveer apologizing to the unconscious Lakshmi and gently taking her from there. Jia asks Karthik if he was wandering in the garden, lost in thoughts of Lakshmi. Karthik replies, “You already know everything, so why are you asking me?” He leaves.
Gayatri asks Umesh why he is not sleeping. He says he is worried about Karthik. Gayatri assures him that Jia will take care of Karthik. Umesh questions how she can trust Jia, whom Karthik hates. He asks Gayatri to face the reality. Gayatri says she wants Karthik to become normal again. Umesh responds that only Lakshmi can bring Karthik back to normal. Gayatri says that since Lakshmi has been missing for months, they don’t even know if she is alive, so she believes Jia can help Karthik return to his old self. She tells him to try and get some sleep.
Lakshmi wakes up beside Veda and wonders how she ended up there. She gets up and sees Raghuveer talking to someone in another room. She suspects who he might be speaking to. Veda approaches Lakshmi and hugs her. Hearing their voices, Raghuveer closes the door and steps out. He sends Veda to her room. Lakshmi asks Raghuveer if he brought her there. Raghuveer says her life was in danger, so he brought her to safety. Lakshmi insists that he cannot separate her from her family. Raghuveer says he is willing to do anything for her safety. He locks Lakshmi in Veda’s room. Lakshmi wonders why Raghuveer is forcing her to act as Veda’s mother and decides to find out the truth. Raghuveer feels guilty for not telling Lakshmi the whole truth.
Karthik comes downstairs and sees Lakshmi in the kitchen. He hugs her from behind but then realizes it’s Jia disguised as Lakshmi. He warns her not to touch Lakshmi’s belongings. He declares that he belongs only to Lakshmi and that Jia cannot have him. He leaves, and Jia feels frustrated.
Veda calls Lakshmi “Mamma” and asks her to eat the tiffin prepared by her father. Lakshmi asks if her father is at home, and Veda says no. Lakshmi takes Veda’s phone, thinking that now Karthik can contact her.
Lakshmi tries to call Karthik but receives a message saying the phone is unreachable. She then calls the landline, and Karthik answers. Hearing his voice, Lakshmi gets excited. She tries to talk to him, but the bad network disrupts the call. Veda says the network is poor there and offers to go upstairs to talk. Lakshmi follows her.
Karthik becomes irritated as someone calls the landline but doesn’t speak, so he pulls out the phone cable, disconnecting the call. Lakshmi’s call doesn’t connect, and she feels disappointed.
Downstairs, Lakshmi recalls that Raghuveer never allowed her to enter a certain room, so she decides to check it out. When she enters, she is shocked to see pictures of herself and Raghuveer as husband and wife. She quickly leaves the room. Veda calls Lakshmi “mother” and asks her to play with her, but Lakshmi denies being her mother.
