The episode starts with Dadi wondering what the smell is, as if something is burning. Lakshmi calls all the family members and asks them to come quickly.
Lakshmi tells the Kapoor family that it looks like a fire has started in the room. Dadi asks Krish to bring water and put out the fire. Lakshmi stops Krish and tells him that it looks like a short circuit caused the fire. Lakshmi asks Krish where Jia is, as she hasn’t come despite all the noise. Lakshmi asks Krish if Jia is locked inside the room. Krish worries about Jia. He wraps a window curtain around himself, barges into the room, and rescues Jia from the fire.
Krish brings Jia out of the room. Lakshmi asks Jia if she is alright. Lakshmi asks Jia what wrong she has done to go through all these things. Krish takes Jia and leaves from there. Lakshmi talks to the baby and says that she knows the truth. She adds that if the baby could speak, it would have been great.
Karan complains to Manny about Lakshmi lying to him. He asks Manny why Lakshmi is lying even though she hates lying. Manny comforts Karan.
Lakshmi calls Karan, but he cuts her call. Lakshmi thinks to herself that she knows he is angry with her. She asks Karan to come home, saying that she will explain everything to him. Lakshmi goes to sleep beside the baby.
Krish confronts Jia and asks her what happened between her and Lakshmi. He tells Jia that Lakshmi clearly knew she was in the room and that she had set fire to the baby’s room. Jia says she doesn’t know how Lakshmi came into the room and set the fire. Krish questions Jia and asks if she tried to hurt Lakshmi. Jia lashes out at Krish and admits that she attempted to kill Lakshmi because Lakshmi was about to save the baby. Jia says she had to make sure that no one finds out about her secret, which is why she tried to kill Lakshmi.
Lakshmi wakes up at night and notices that Karan’s photo is missing from the table and the baby is not in the cradle. Jia is holding Karan’s photo and the baby.
Lakshmi tries to go near Jia. Jia holds the baby out of the window and warns Lakshmi not to come closer, threatening to throw the baby out if she does. Lakshmi begs Jia not to hurt the baby and asks her to tell her what to do, saying she will do anything. Jia asks Lakshmi to choose between Karan and the baby. Lakshmi pretends that Karan has come to distract Jia and manages to take the baby from her. During the scuffle, Jia notices that Karan’s photo frame has broken. Jia tells Lakshmi that it seems she has chosen the baby over Karan. Lakshmi replies that both Karan and the baby will belong to her. Jia warns Lakshmi that if she tells Karan the truth about the baby, he will never accept the child. Lakshmi says she trusts Karan more than herself and believes that the baby will become a bridge that brings them together. Jia thinks to herself that she will make the baby a wall between them and leaves from there.
Lakshmi notices someone in Karan’s study and assumes it is Karan. She tells him that she wants to say something. Lakshmi reveals the truth about Karthik and the baby born through surrogacy by Jia. She explains that the baby in their house is that same child. Lakshmi asks Karan to decide whether he will accept them in his life or not. She places a rose on the table and asks Karan to give it back to her the next day if he wants them in his life. Lakshmi leaves the room.

Precap: The social welfare committee approaches Lakshmi and tells her that she and Karan can adopt the baby if they sign the adoption papers.
Karan accuses Lakshmi of deceiving him into signing the papers so she can adopt Karthik’s baby and burden him with the responsibility. Karan tells Lakshmi that she will have to pay for her deception.
