The episode starts with the police inspector telling Karthik that he will hold him responsible for Deepa and asks him to take care of her. The inspector assures Karthik that he will keep his word and bring the real culprit in front of them within a week. He further warns that if anything happens to Deepa, Karthik will be held responsible, and then leaves.
Chitralekha wonders why Karthik has taken responsibility for Deepa and comments on it.
Mahindra asks Deepa whom she is pointing to Vijayanti. Deepa introduces Vijayanti as her mother-in-law. Kailashnath tells Deepa that leaving the house without informing anyone was wrong. He adds that he gifted the gold chain to Jyoti with love and asks Deepa to put it around Jyoti’s neck. Deepa agrees and places the gold chain on Jyoti. Vijayanti wonders why the Kothari family gifted a gold chain to Jyoti. Deepa then takes Vijayanti away. Vijayanti asks Deepa if she has met Bhanu. Deepa tells her that she will explain later and takes Vijayanti to the outhouse.
Bhanu comes to Chitralekha and shares the good news that he has found out about the person who argued with Deepa in front of their house. Chitralekha asks Bantu who it is. Bantu says his name is Bhanu, Deepa’s husband, who works as a driver in the city. Chitralekha says they need to find out why Deepa is staying here instead of living with her husband and adds that there is definitely a big story behind it. Bantu agrees.
Vijayanti comments on Deepa for repeatedly asking about Bhanu, but Deepa hasn’t said anything because Jyoti is around. Vijayanti asks Deepa to tell her now, as Jyoti is not present. Deepa tries to divert the topic, but Vijayanti continues questioning her. Deepa finally reveals that she has met Bhanu and that he has married another woman. Deepa says that Bhanu does not want his wife, daughter, or mother. Vijayanti asks why Deepa didn’t confront him. Deepa replies that there is no use talking to an animal and makes a comment on it. She asks Vijayanti not to reveal this truth to Bhagyasree. Vijayanti notices Bhagyasree and realizes that she has overheard their conversation.
Ranjit feeds food to Kanchan. Karthik returns home. Ranjit teases Karthik by calling him Samaj Udhaarak for taking responsibility for Deepa. Karthik asks Ranjit if Chitralekha has called them. Kanchan questions Karthik about getting involved in all this when he is already busy with work.
