The episode starts with Kanika arguing with Bhagyasree. Kanika warns Bhagyasree to fix her pre-engagement date with Karthik and leaves. Chitralekha tells Bhagyasree that she should understand what kind of girl Kanika is. She says that Kanika may break, but she will never bow down to circumstances.
Deepa feeds food to Jyoti. Jyoti asks Deepa whether she has eaten. Deepa lies and says that she has already eaten. The nurse arrives and asks Deepa to eat, as she hasn’t eaten anything since morning. Hearing this, Jyoti accuses Deepa of lying to her. Jyoti then feeds Deepa and says that she will eat only if Deepa eats first. Deepa eats and feeds the remaining food to Jyoti, and later leaves.
Deepa calls Lakshman and asks him if he can find her a house. Lakshman asks if everything is fine, as she is living in Karthik’s house. Deepa replies that one should take help only to the extent that it can be repaid. Lakshman asks her not to worry and assures her that he will find a house. Deepa thanks him and disconnects the call.
Deepa recalls Karthik admitting to Bhanu that he is Jyoti’s father. She feels that Karthik has provoked people who are already after their lives, and she won’t be able to live near him anymore. Deepa hopes that Karthik will not look for her.
Ranjit and Kanchan reprimand Karthik for leaving the pre-engagement ceremony midway without considering Kanika’s feelings to take care of Jyoti. Ranjit admits that Karthik did the right thing by saving Jyoti, but says that he failed to think about Kanika’s emotions. He adds that people will assume the pre-engagement has been cancelled. Karthik says he doesn’t care about what others think because he knows he did the right thing. He asks Kanchan to look into his eyes and decide if he was wrong. Karthik tells his parents that their upbringing is not so weak that he would do something wrong knowingly.
The next day, Kanchan stops Karthik as he is about to go to the hospital to see Jyoti. She asks him to visit Kanika first, as she hasn’t eaten since yesterday and is deeply upset about the broken pre-engagement ceremony.
The nurse hands over the medical reports to Deepa and informs her that Jyoti will be discharged in a few minutes. She advises Deepa not to let Jyoti play until she fully recovers. Deepa agrees and thinks that she is finally happy about Jyoti’s discharge, but wonders where they will go next. Kaaka calls Deepa and tells her that he has found a suitable house for them. Deepa thanks him.
Mahindra and the family members worry about Kanika and ask her to open the door, saying that she hasn’t eaten anything since last night. Inside the room, Kanika is seen enjoying snacks and drinks. The family gets no response. Kailashnath tells Chitralekha that she has spoiled Kanika. Chitralekha replies that Kanika is her granddaughter. Karthik says he will try and asks Kanika to open the door. Kanika hides the drinks and chips packet before opening it. Karthik enters the room, and Chitralekha asks everyone to let him go alone. Karthik asks Kanika to eat food, but Kanika says she will eat only after finalising their engagement date. Karthik notices the chips packet and confronts her. Kanika dismisses it, saying they are just chips. The family enters the room, and Karthik shows them the chips. They scold Kanika and say that they were worried and hadn’t eaten anything since morning because of her. They warn her not to repeat such behaviour. Chitralekha thinks that Kanika has spoiled her plan with the chips. Karthik leaves, saying that no hunger strike is happening here.
Deepa and Jyoti get discharged and leave the hospital. Karthik arrives at the hospital, learns about their discharge, and gets worried about their safety. He calls Bhagyasree and finds out that they haven’t returned home. Karthik wonders where Deepa and Jyoti have gone.

The postman sends the court notice to Kothari house. Kanika checks the notice and says to Deepa that Bhanu has sent a court notice for Deepa demanding her to hand over Jyoti’s custody to her.
Deepa comes to a lawyer and shows a court notice to the lawyer. The lawyer asks Deepa for a fee and he asks Deepa to sleep with him as few. Deepa slaps him and leaves from there. Karthik comes to Deepa.
