The episode starts with Karthik assuring Deepa that there is no need to fear. Karthik tells Deepa that they will win the case in the first hearing. He reads the notice and says that according to it, they have two days’ time.
Kailashnath asks Deepa not to worry and says that they will hire the best lawyer. Kailashnath asks Karthik to call Advocate Shiv Kumar, and Karthik agrees. However, Deepa refuses to accept Karthik and Kailashnath’s help. Deepa says that this is her fight and that she will fight it alone. Deepa leaves from there.
Deepa drinks water while thinking about the notice, and Karthik notices her. Jyoti asks Deepa to help her solve a problem, saying that she is unable to understand it. Deepa looks at the maths problem but is unable to solve it.
Karthik approaches Jyoti and offers to help her. He explains how to solve the maths problem, and Jyoti thanks him. Karthik tells Jyoti that it is not wrong to accept someone’s help when one is unable to solve a problem, indirectly hinting to Deepa that she should accept their help.
Karthik teases Deepa and tries to cheer her up. Seeing this, Jyoti asks Karthik to cheer Deepa up every day, and Karthik agrees.
Bhanu calls Shobha and asks her not to worry, telling her that he has hired a great lawyer to argue Jyoti’s case. The lawyer comes to meet Bhanu and says that Deepa must have received the court notice by now. Bhanu says that Deepa will be scared and confused about what to do. Deepa calls Lakshman and tells him that she does not want to take the Kothari family’s help, as they have already helped her a lot. She asks Lakshman to send her the lawyer’s address, and Lakshman agrees.
Bhagyasree meets Deepa and talks to her. She asks Deepa to take their help, but Deepa refuses. Bhagyasree then asks Deepa to divorce Bhanu, saying that he is the root of all her problems. Deepa remains silent. Bhagyasree asks Deepa why she wants to keep these shackles that are pulling her down. Deepa asks Bhagyasree why she is doing so much for her. Bhagyasree replies that it is because Deepa is like her daughter.
Mahindra asks Bhagyasree whether she told Deepa to take their help. Bhagyasree says that she did, but Deepa refused. Chitralekha tells Bhagyasree that they should stop worrying about Deepa and focus on Kanika’s pre-engagement ceremony. Bhagyasree replies that Deepa is like a daughter to her. Chitralekha counters that Kanika is her real daughter.
The next day, Deepa goes to meet the lawyer. Meanwhile, Karthik visits Lakshman’s hotel and learns the lawyer’s address from him. Karthik also decides to go and meet the lawyer.
Deepa shows the notice sent by her husband to the lawyer. The lawyer behaves inappropriately, flirts with Deepa, and assures her that she will win the case. He then asks about his fees. Deepa says that she will pay his fees at any cost. The lawyer suggests there are other ways to repay him and touches her shoulder. Deepa slaps the lawyer and leaves immediately.
Deepa thinks about the lawyer’s behaviour as Karthik arrives to meet her.
