The episode starts with the theme song playing and lead actress Kajol doing puja in the house. She brings tea for her uncle and all the kids wish her Happy Birthday. Uncle tells the kids soon she will to another house and asks her to sing raag bairagi for all of them. She starts to sing but suddenly her younger brother calls her to save him from his other sister. Aunty gets emotional and hugs Kajol. Kajol’s father Mukherjee babu is shopping for her birthday party. He tells his friend that today a boy is coming to meet Kajol.
Monu and Anu decorate the house for Kajol’s birthday. Kajol goes to water the plants on terrace and gets a call from her fiance Arjun. Arjun wishes her happy birthday and tells today their marriage will be fixed in evening. Kajol is tensed about meeting Arjun’s parents. Arjun tells his company is posting him abroad and he wants to take Kajol with him. Arjun tells Kajol to go down and he will call her after five minutes. Mukherjee comes home and Kajol gives him medicine.
Arjun has sent gifts for Kajol and her brother and sisters tease her. Kajol thanks Arjun for the beautiful flowers. Arjun sends a beautiful tiara for Kajol. Naina is jealous of Kajol’s boyfriend Arjun. Arjun’s sister-in-law tells him have you told your to be wife about how many girls he used to romance with before her? Arjun tells girls always get jealous and his sister-in-law tells boys are never loyal. Kajol’s mother returns home from temple and gives prasad for her. Naina gets jealous of Kajol and the rest of siblings tease her.
Naina tells all of them feel the same but they don’t say so. Anu says no one thinks like this because they want the best for Kajol as she is the best. Kajol’s father tells her story about her birth. Kajol’s uncle tells her how he was the first one to see her after delivery and her father tells her how she held his fingers with her little fingers. Kajol gets emotional and her father tells since that day her father’s heart is in Kajol’s control.
Naina tells everyone loves Kajol so much because she is the first kid and rest of us are like secondary citizens. Kajol’s mother tells her they love all of them equally,she tells her how Kajol does so much for everyone. Her father tells her today we will celebrate Kajol’s birthday and on sunday we will watch movie of your choice. Kajol tells she doesn’t feel bad about what Naina said and Naina is right we shouldn’t be spending so much today.
Arjun’s sister-in-law calls Kajol and tells her Arjun is a hardcore playboy and he was in relation with multiple girls before Kajol. She tells Kajol it would be better if she breaks the relation with Arjun because it would be less painful than breaking her heart. The episode ends on Kajol’s shocked face on listening to all this.
