The episode starts with Dil returning home. Lata asks Dil where she had gone without informing her and says she was very worried. Dil replies she is fine and says nothing happened. Dil tells Lata she went searching for Nandini. She shares that Babaji told her if she wants to find her mother, she must find her father first. Ram also advised her to ask the elders about her father. Dil asks Lata to tell her who her father is.
Lata recalls Nandini once told her she wanted to inform Raghav about Dil but later realized he wasn’t worth knowing about Dil. Nandini made Lata swear never to reveal Raghav’s truth to Dil. Lata apologizes to Dil, saying she doesn’t know who her father is. Hearing this, Dil leaves in disappointment.
Meanwhile, Natasha questions Raghav about Nandini. She asks if he loved Nandini so much, why did he marry her instead. Raghav tells Natasha to ask her mother and sends her away.
Feeling helpless, Dil shares her sorrow with Ram and his friend. Later, Dil gets an idea. She draws her mother’s picture and puts up posters all over the town with her friends. Dil’s uncle notices the posters.
Dil recalls hiding in a cupboard from her mother and checks the cupboard, hoping Nandini is there. At that moment, Dil’s uncle enters the room and falls on the floor. Dil asks what he is doing. Her uncle questions her, and Dil says she is searching for her father’s information. Her uncle says he knows who her father is and asks her to swear on her mother that she won’t tell anyone if he reveals it. Dil agrees.
Her uncle tells her he knows someone who can help her meet her father and promises to take her to that person. Dil agrees.
Raghav is shown holding Nandini’s book, lost in her memories. Raghav’s mother sees him and feels guilty for separating them. She confesses her regret. Raghav responds, saying he wishes their desires had been the same.
Meanwhile, Nandini’s last rites are shown taking place. Dil tearfully asks her mother to return. Lata asks her daughter to play with Dil to cheer her up, but Dil refuses. Lata tells Dil to do whatever she likes. Dil tells Meethi she’ll go to Maama.
Dil asks Maama when he will introduce her to Chacha as promised. Maama says tonight and warns her not to tell anyone. Dil agrees and leaves.
Later, Maama is shown talking on the phone about a deal. Lata overhears his plan and worries about how to protect Dil. While sneaking around, she accidentally drops a vase. Maama catches her and warns her not to interfere or he’ll send her to Nandini as well.
To protect Dil, Lata calls her relatives asking if they can keep Dil for a few days, but no one agrees.
Dil hugs Nandini’s photo and speaks to the stars, asking where her mother is. She clutches her mother’s dupatta and cries.

Precap: Lata buys Mumbai tickets. Maama and his men search for Dil. Dil asks Lata if they are going to Mumbai. Lata says, “Your father is in Mumbai and he is a famous singer.” Dil feels happy knowing she is finally going to meet her father. Lata hides with Dil as her husband searches for them at the bus station.
