The episode starts with Dil not believing Natasha’s words. Natasha shows her Nandini thread she got from Dil’s bag. Dil assumes Natasha must have met her mother and found out where she stays. Dil asks Natasha to take her to meet her mother. Natasha says, “Don’t tell Raghav that you sang for Shanaya in exchange for meeting your mother.” Dil agrees and feels happy. Natasha thinks Raghav must never find out whose voice it really was.
The guard doesn’t allow Maama to enter Raghav’s house. Dil sees Madhu cutting karela and asks if she is making karela curry. Madhu suggests making suji ka halwa instead. Dil feels happy and says she will help her. Together, they prepare the halwa. Dil says she will feed everyone. Madhu asks, “What about me?” Dil replies, “The first bite is for my mom only.” Madhu says, “You can feed me too, I’m also like your mother.” Dil insists the first bite is for her real mom, but promises to come back to Madhu soon. She kisses Madhu on the cheek and leaves, making Madhu emotional.
Meanwhile, Raghav picks up Shanaya from school. Shanaya thinks, Dad isn’t even looking at me. He seems so angry. Dil tries to feed halwa to her mother’s photo, but the photo slips and falls near a flower vase. Madhu is about to see it when her mother-in-law calls her, so she leaves. Dil then comes to Nandini’s photo, asking her to eat halwa and questioning why she is upset with her. Dil admits, “I know you’re upset because I lied to Raghav uncle and didn’t tell him I sang in place of Shanaya.” She decides, “I’ll feed this sweet to Raghav uncle so he’ll feel better,” and feeds halwa to everyone in the house. She asks Mannu when Raghav will return from school, but Mannu doesn’t know.
Raghav comes home with Shanaya, recalling Dil playing the piano. Shanaya calls out, “Daddy,” but Raghav says, “Tell me, Diljeet,” without paying attention to her, making Shanaya feel upset.
Dil feels happy seeing Raghav and sings, “I will meet Mom.” As she goes to feed him halwa, she notices Shanaya crying. She offers Shanaya halwa, saying, “Eat this and your pain will reduce—my mom used to say it will make your tears sweet, not salty.” Shanaya shouts at her to leave, saying she’s in a bad mood. Dil refuses to leave her in tears. Shanaya snaps, “I’m crying because of you.” Dil suggests messaging Raghav to tell the truth, but Shanaya says she promised her mother and can’t break it. Dil argues, “You’re doing it for your dad, so it’s fine—think about it.” Shanaya pushes Dil out of her room and closes the door, lost in thought.
Raghav sees the piano and remembers Dil playing it melodiously. He begins playing with his injured hand, causing it to bleed. Mannu notices and informs him. Raghav asks about Dil. Dil arrives and offers him halwa. Raghav asks Mannu to leave them alone for half an hour.
Meanwhile, Shanaya types a message to Raghav, revealing that Dil sang for her in the concert. Natasha tries to take Dil out of Raghav’s room, but Raghav asks Natasha to leave. He tells Dil, “I’ll eat the halwa later. Play the tune you played before, and sing with me.” Dil hesitates, remembering her promise to Natasha.
Shanaya sends the message to Raghav. Natasha comes to Shanaya, who looks scared. Natasha takes her phone, sees the message, and scolds her. Shanaya says, “Dil gave me the idea to message Dad.” Natasha angrily thinks about deleting the message before Raghav can read it.
Raghav receives the message and tries to open it.
