The episode begins with the bus conductor noticing an unattended bag and moving to check it, unaware that Dil is hidden inside. Before he can, other passengers distract him by asking for their tickets, saving Dil from being discovered.
Meanwhile, the police stop Natasha. An officer questions if she thinks she can escape after what she did. Natasha panics, believing he’s referring to the accident she caused days ago. But the officer is actually talking about her speeding. He casually mentions there’s no air in her car’s back tyre and asks her to check it. He then remarks about a recent accident where a car hit a person who sadly didn’t survive, unsettling Natasha further.
Elsewhere, Shanaya throws a tantrum, accusing others of cheating and refusing to play. Raghav arrives and asks what’s wrong. Chandan’s wife explains Shanaya lost the game. Raghav’s mother adds that Shanaya is upset because Natasha left her and asks Raghav to handle it with care. Raghav agrees.
Raghav tries cheering Shanaya up, but she tells him to leave. Disheartened, Raghav walks away. Later, he returns with his face covered, persuading Shanaya to forgive him. She smiles and says he must apologise to her mom too and become her friend. Raghav agrees and suggests they win the carrom board game first. They start playing together again. Shanya asks him to take her to Film nagar. He agrees.
At home, Maama brings his wife Lata and demands she reveal where she sent Dil. Their son overhears and feels scared. Lata tells her husband she doesn’t know exactly; she had put Dil on a random bus for her safety, as he had sold her to a drama troupe. He justifies his actions for their children’s well-being, takes Lata’s phone, and says he’ll keep it in case Dil calls. Lata prays that Dil never returns to this place.
The bus finally arrives in Mumbai. Dil feels happy. Two kids notice the bag and pull it out. Dil and her cat Billi come out and look at Mumbai in awe. Dil asks the kids why they left her at the fair. They reply that this is Mumbai, not a fair. The kids ask Dil’s name. She says, “Diljeet.” They laugh and nickname her “Batata.” They ask about her bag, and Dil says it holds her mother’s belongings. When asked why, Dil explains she’s here to search for her father, and once she finds him, she’ll search for her mother too.
Meanwhile, Shanaya thanks Raghav for bringing her to Film Nagar. Batata and Matches ask Dil about her father. Dil says she doesn’t know his name, only that he’s a singer. They take her along, pretending to help.
Raghav and Shanaya arrive at Film City. Media and crew rush to take their photos. Raghav asks them to stop, but Shanaya supports the photographers. Raghav escorts Shanaya inside, then comes back, buys lunch for the media crew, and breaks their cameras. He pays for replacements but warns them never to photograph his daughter again.
Batata and Matches bring Dil to Film Nagar, telling her she might find her father there. Secretly, they plan to steal her mother’s bag, thinking it holds valuables. They trick Dil and steal the bag. Dil prays at Film Nagar, hoping to meet her father.
