The episode starts with Nandini spotting Dil singing a song. Nandini asks Dil to promise that she won’t sing again and says she doesn’t want to leave her. Dil agrees and says she will always stay with Nandini. Nandini then closes Dil’s eyes and counts from 1 to 10. Later, Nandini gifts a dress to Dil, and Dil gets excited seeing it.
Natasha comes to Raghav and asks him to stand beside Shanaya for pictures. Raghav makes a comment about Natasha and refuses. Natasha, annoyed, walks away.
Nandini drives a truck, taking Dil and other children in the back. When Dil asks for ice cream, Nandini agrees and stops the truck.
Meanwhile, Natasha announces that it’s time for cake cutting. Shanaya gets upset seeing there’s no photo of her on the cake. She throws a tantrum, saying she won’t cut the cake and demands another one. Natasha and the others try to convince her, but she stays firm.
Nandini asks Dil to make a wish before cutting the cake. Dil wishes for a new father who can take care of her mother. Nandini helps Dil cut the cake, and Dil happily says it’s the best cake ever. Meanwhile, Dil’s uncle instructs goons to kill Nandini after showing her photo, but cancels the plan upon seeing his wife Lata with them.
Raghav tries to console Shanaya and agrees to get her a large raspberry cake with her photo on it. He goes to the bakery to place the order.
Dil’s uncle sees Raghav’s hoarding and decides to set a trap for Nandini. Dil’s friends praise Nandini and the birthday party before leaving.
At the bakery, Raghav hears music playing and thinks of Nandini. He collects the cake and leaves.
Back at the party, Dil thanks Nandini for the surprise and says she wished for a father while blowing out the candles. Hearing this, Nandini thinks of Raghav. Meanwhile, Raghav remembers how Nandini had once given all her songs to him.
Natasha calls Raghav and tells him everyone is waiting for the cake. Raghav agrees and heads back.
However, Natasha assumes Raghav won’t return, so she sends the guests away. Shanaya becomes furious and blames Raghav for ruining her birthday.
While driving back, Nandini’s truck tyre gets punctured. She’s about to get down when Dil stops her and lovingly calls her the best mother. Nandini gets down and sees Raghav’s hoarding, which brings back memories. At that moment, Dil’s uncle signals the goons, who drop the hoarding on Nandini. She gets injured and cries out for Dil.

Precap: Nandini is admitted to the hospital. Lata learns that they need ₹4 lakhs for Nandini’s operation. Dil sings at a jagrata to earn money. Later, the hospital staff informs Dil that her mother has died. The doctor takes her to the mortuary.
