Udaariyaan 14th April 2023 Written Update: Ekam feels guilty for hurting Harleen

The episode starts with Nimmo saying to Nehmat that the Dabba owner is going to come and she has to talk to him to get permission for Nehmat to stay there. She asks Nehmat to tell the dhaba owner about the goon who is disturbing her as he knows some police officers. Nehmat says that even Ekam is a police officer. Nehmat realises what she said. She cries, remembering Ekam. 

Ekam returns home and wonders where Harleen is. He goes to find her. Harleen is in the kitchen. She eats chillies. She cries, recalling Ekam abandoning her in the hotel. Ekam sees Harleen. He goes to her. He stops her from eating chillies and wipes her tears with his handkerchief. He then gets water for Harleen. He apologizes to Harleen for his behavior. He says that he will make aloo paratha and asks Harleen if she will have it. Harleen silently cries. Ekam decides to make paratha. 

Nimmo says to Sartaj that there’s a girl to work in the dhaba. Sartaj asks why she hired a girl as girls aren’t reliable. Nimmo says that she’s also a woman. She defends Nehmat. She asks Nehmat to get paratha for Sartaj. Nehmat obliges. Sartaj and Nehmat are shocked to see each other and recall their dispute. Sartaj hits his head on his forehead and thinks that Nimmo has got a helper who can’t even help herself. Nimmo praises Nehmat’s cooking skills and her soft nature, while Sartaj whispers, taunting Nehmat, which angers the latter. Nimmo asks Sartaj to taste the food made by Nehmat. He obliges. He says that it’s too spicy. He says that the flour is less and the attitude is more. Sartaj asks Nimmo to eat, as he doesn’t want. 

Ekam makes paratha for Harleen. He requests her to have the food and not punish herself for his mistake. Ekam also refuses to eat if Harleen doesn’t eat. However, Harleen refuses to eat and says that her stomach is full. Ekam apologizes to Harleen and asks her to have at least the paratha if she doesn’t want to talk to him. Harleen says that she understands that Ekam is going through a tough phase, but asks him not to make her feel that she’s a useless thing that he can leave anymore. She leaves, taking the paratha plate. 

Nehmat says to Nimmo that Sartaj, whom she praised, doesn’t know how to respect girls. She says that he is a goon who teases girls. But Nimmo laughs and defends Sartaj. On the other hand, Ekam is sitting in Gurudwara with his friends. He feels guilty for hurting Harleen, who is with her because of Nehmat, who left him. Here, Nimmo praises Sartaj. She asks Nehmat to empty her heart to understand others’s heart. She advises Nehmat to forget her past and start her life again. Meanwhile, a Baba also advises Ekam to make a step ahead then the life will embrace him.

Ekam goes to Harleen. The latter gives Ekam the paratha that he made for her as he might be hungry. Ekam asks Harleen to share it as Harleen is also hungry. Harleen divide the paratha and gives the half paratha to Ekam. Ekam sits on his knee and apologizes to Harleen for hurting her. Harleen says that Ekam will be punished for his mistake. He will get small piece of pickle. Ekam smiles. Harleen and Ekam eat the Paratha. They smile looking at each other, hiding their pain.

The episode ends.

Precap: Ekam is shocked to see Harleen acting as she’s possessed. Sartaj dances in the field. Nehmat sees this and closes her ears, feeling irritated.
