The episode starts with Sartaj and Nehmat reaching Chandigarh. Sartaj welcomes Nehmat into her new house and into her new life. He says to Nehmat that he wants to tell her something. He then changes his mind and says that he will tell her later. Nehmat says that she has to go for an interview. Sartaj wants to drop her off. Nehmat refuses and asks Sartaj for the car keys. Sartaj gives the keys to her.
Nimmo tries to clear Harleen’s misconception about Nehmat. Harleen asks Nimmo not to defend her. She blames Nehmat for not telling her the truth that Ekam was blackmailing her. She says that she didn’t want to tell her the truth as she deliberately betrayed her. She angrily walks away. Nimmo worries about Harleen holding bitterness for Nehmat.
Ekam goes to Harleen. He asks Harleen to give him a chance to calm down the storm in her mind. He promises her. Harleen says that Ekam should leave his past and move on if he really wants to keep their relationship. Ekam recalls Nehmat and his moments with her. Ekam walks towards Harleen. Everytime he takes a step towards Harleen, he makes a promise to her to fulfill every promise he gave to her while marrying her.
On the other hand, Nehmat gives sweets to Sartaj and says that she got job. Sartaj is concerned that Nehmat shouldn’t overwork. Nehmat jokes. She tells him how important this job is for her and her child. Sartaj says that he has a surprise for her. He closes her eyes with his hand and takes her to a room. He removes his hand and says surprise. Nehmat becomes emotional at seeing the toys, the cradle. Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin plays in the BG. Sartaj asks if she liked his surprise. Nehmat says that she loved it. She sees the babies’ pictures on the wall. She caresses them, smiling. Nehmat is surprised to see the lemon and the lemon tree leaves in a basket. Sartaj explains that his mom used to smell it when she feels nauseous. Nehmat is surprised at seeing Sartaj care for her. Sartaj says that he gets happiness by seeing her happy. Nehmat thanks Sartaj.
Sartaj makes Nehmat sit in the bed and asks her to rest. He is about to leave. Nehmat stops Sartaj and asks what he wanted to say to her earlier. Sartaj wonders how to tell her. Here, Ekam shows Harleen the mangalsutra with the pendant. There, Sartaj says that he wants to ask permission before asking her. He places his hand on her tummy and gets Nehmat’s baby’s permission. Here, Harleen opens the pendant and sees Ekam and her pictures. Ekam asks Harleen’s permission to make her wear it. Harleen hands him the mangalsutra. Ekam makes her wear it. There, Sartaj asks Nehmat if he can give his name to her child and become her life partner. Nehmat is shocked to hear this.
