The episode begins with Tejas being instructed by his mother, Renuka, to retrieve the jewelry he had pawned. Tejas contacts the shopkeeper to get the jewelry back, only to be told that the items have already been melted down. This news leaves Tejas stunned. The shopkeeper suggests he could buy gold biscuits instead.
Renuka is furious upon hearing this and becomes anxious about how she’ll explain the situation to her husband. She worries about the shame she’ll face if the truth is exposed. Regretful of her actions, Renuka listens as Shakuntala advises her to recreate the jewelry using old photos. But Renuka knows that would be expensive. Left with no better option, she decides to buy imitation jewelry. She and Tejas visit a jewelry shop to purchase the fake items.
Back at home, Roshni learns that her husband hasn’t returned yet. Sachin mocks Tejas, suggesting he must be wandering aimlessly. Soon after, Tejas and Renuka return with the fake jewelry. Paresh immediately demands Renuka to hand over the jewelry to Sayali. Renuka pretends to be unaware and reminds Sayali of her earlier vow to only wear jewelry given by her husband. She even insults Sayali by comparing her to a beggar. But Paresh insists she fetch the jewelry from the cupboard.
Sachin suspects Renuka may have already given the real jewelry to Tejas. In her room, Renuka places the fake jewelry into the original boxes and gives them to Sayali. Sayali inspects them but fails to detect any difference. She and Sachin then take the jewelry to a shop to sell.
Coincidentally, they visit the same shop where the original pieces were purchased. Sayali selects a gold chain for Savitri Devi and asks the owner to evaluate the jewelry. To their shock, the owner becomes angry and declares the jewelry is fake. When he threatens to call the police, Sachin remains defiant. The situation escalates as the shopkeeper accuses them of theft, but Sachin challenges him to go ahead and call the police.
At that moment, the actual owner of the shop arrives and asks Sayali how she ended up with the counterfeit jewelry. Due to her good reputation in the area, she is let off without further trouble. Sachin, now suspicious, decides to confront his mother. However, Sayali urges him not to confront Tejas or Renuka until they learn the full truth about the jewelry.
