Star Plus’s newly launched show “Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar” by Katha Kottage Productions will air their first episode on the channel today at 6:30pm and on hotstar before the Television. The show have Swati Rajput as Dia and Ankit Siwach as Armaan, in the main protagonist role. Well the story line mainly revolves around Dia who faces hurdles in her life due to her dark-skinned colour.
Whereas, Armaan cares more about people’s nature instead of their physical appearances. Will Dia’s qualities attract Armaan towards her and will he have to go against his family and society to prove his love?
In the earlier episode, Dia’s parents gets worried about her marriage. Her mother insists Mr. Mathur to make Dia understand about the importance of marriage, while he replies that after facing several rejection she had lost hopes from it.
Here, Dia’s youngest sister Palki posted a video with Dia for work related purpose, while Dia gets devastated seeing the mean comments on her and feels bad as her sister lost her deal as she had used her instead of some fair-skinned girl.
Mr. Chaddah clicks inappropriate pictures of Dia without her consent while his wife glares Dia thinking that she was at mistake. Meanwhile, Dia gets elated upon getting her dream job and celebrates with her family.
Ahead, Dia went to work but faces humiliation due to her skin colour. She looses her front desk job and got duty inside the kitchen. She gets hurt and goes back to her house.
Dia’s mother shows her the accusation of Mrs. Chaddah, where she blames Dia for seducing her husband. Her mother scolds Dia stating that it is because she isn’t agreeing to get married, while Dia tries to explain herself stating that she went to terrace to dry her hair. Her mother taunts her and ask to care about her skin also, while Dia geta emotional and goes out of the house.
Later, Dia’s parents gets worried for her as she doesn’t return back till midnight. After a while she enters the house, whereas her family gets shocked seeing her short hairs. She declares that from now on she won’t go to terrace to dry her hair and so won’t have to face Mr. Chaddah. She sees her birthday cake and eats it with teary eyes.
Now in the upcoming episode, Dia’s mother will notify her about her younger sister Jhanvi being pregnant. She will taunt Dia and insists her to agree for the marriage, so that she can also start her life. Whereas, Dia will meet Armaan at her workplace. Her colleagues will notify him that Dia have no interest in marriage, while he appreciates her idea stating that she is smart.
It would be interesting to see what happens next on the show.
